#1

Some ingredients may be obtained individually, and not necessarily from a specific supplement, list of common ingredients in breast reduction pills:

* Citrus
* Chocolate
* Ginger root
* Green tea (Camellia) contains epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), an epigallocatechin, that reduces the conversion of free testosterone into DHT.
* Dietary chromium plays a role in insulin regulation. The women's dietary reference intake for chromium varies between 20mcg and 45mcg depending on circumstance. Sources include: grains, and mushrooms. Using individual mineral supplements causes a risk for nutrient imbalancing. Chromium is needed in the diet, but in excess it becomes carcinogenic. It is listed here for reference, as it is not advisable to use this as an individual supplement on one's own. Chromium is a metalloestrogen
* Capsicum peppers, celery, and parsley contain apigenin.
* Sage (Salvia) contains sclareolides used for weight loss. Sage can also help stop milk flow after nursing.

* Garcinia Cambogia Extract for weight reduction.

* Loelen
* Atratylodes

For reference only: tamoxifen, bromocryptine, testosterone, dydrogesterone, hydrocortisone, diuretics and medroxy progesterone acetate have been used as alternatives to to surgery to treat gestational hypertrophy and have worked. In a review, raloxifene and tamoxifen treated high percentages of serious cases of pubertal and adult gynecomastia in various studies. Most cases of gynecomastia didn't require surgical treatment.

Other medications include Raloxifene, and Danazol.

Some of the mentioned drugs are selective estrogen receptor modulators. Tamoxifen has had some success in the treatment of cancer.

Androgens are associated with inhibiting breast size, but too much may cause hormone related problems

As a note, breast reduction surgery can possibly make breast feeding no longer possible. It also leaves an unsightly scar.

According to https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25226294 aromatase inhibitors can shrink gynecomastia.

Although gynecomastia describes the occurance on males, it is important for understanding this subject, because similarities in breast biology. Research in this topic is constant, unlike similar topics. An article gets added approximately monthly to pubmed.gov (or pmc) about gynecomastia or similar subjects.Please feel free to contribute reliable sources from other sites too.

Here is an open access review http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3987263/ 'Gynecomastia: Clinical evaluation and management' dated March 2014.

Although citrus is listed here, it may also be useful for enlargement gains, because of its contents of Vitamin C. Vitamin C is important for overall body health, including breast health. It also helps sustain IGF-1 levels.

Great post & thank you! I am amazed at how brilliant the contributors are. I am disappointed that chocolate contributes to breast reduction (GASP!). I too am on a journey to lose weight while not reducing my breasts.
However, I know I may be setting myself back by taking Garcinia Cambogia which is on lovely11's list. But my overall goal is health and to learn to radically love myself as I am. I am a biological female and cycle my PM. I have just begun cycling progesterone as I believe I am estrogen dominant with low progesterone. I have cycled PM (I use the Ainterol drops) for 2 months now and I don't notice much of a difference. I did notice that since taking PM, I have had dermatitis flare ups (EEK!). For NBE all I have been doing is PM and now progesterone. In the future, I want to look into Maca as I have heard it has anti-inflammatory properties but I want to see how the progesterone affects me. I may start up Noogling again.
Good luck!

You're welcome. This list is preliminary, and based on product ingredients. My theory is if an herb has a chemical that activates growth, but has another chemical that causes weight loss at the same time it causes reduction in that area since that tissue is stimulated. Also possible, if a combination of supplements are taken that have these two effects.

There isn't enough public information on those herbs. Green tea, and coffee have caffeine. Chocolate has theobromine which is caffeine-like. Seeing how people who drink green tea has less incidences of cancer, occasionally drinking green tea might be helpful for health, or in some cases be helpful (green tea inhibits DHT). Perhaps green tea tones breasts.

Some herbs contain different levels of chemicals depending on how they're prepared. For instance Damiana decreases appetite if it is an alcohol extract, but it has little effect if it's taken in tea form.

Most information from NLM about it has to do with gynecomastia, and I believe it mostly focuses on androgens. There could possibly be more information of another mechanism there. It is known for sure that DHT inhibits breast growth. Testosterone by itself probably doesn't inhibit breast growth so much, because estrogen is made of it, and until testosterone is converted into DHT which causes unwanted effects.
