Fenugreek + Saw Palmetto

#1

Hi everyone. I just wanted to say that I have been using Fenugreek (1 capsule ingested, 1 capsule in oil) + Saw Palmetto (1 capsule) + either Flaxseed oil or Coconut oil with massaging daily for a few days now and I feel like I have already seen pretty significant growth and fullness. And by significant, I mean noticeable to myself, and filling out my bra and upper shirt area a little more. Fuller/rounder/heavier. I know it isn't just my wishful thinking, too, because my boyfriend commented on them last night during "intimate time" and said that they definitely looked AND felt bigger in the past few days. He's not really a believer in this stuff so it's not something that he would just say either (trust me!!) And since I haven't gained any weight here in the past few days, I would have to say that the only two reasons this could be happening is either stopping my birth control 9 days ago or starting this therapy in the past 3 days. And since my boobs have only seem to grown in the past 3 days, I am a little happy/eager that it might be a product of this therapy! So that is a plus, and keeping my fingers crossed. I just wanted to share in case there are any other newbies that are doubting it entirely. It definitely has seemed to have worked some in this short duration. Oh and btw, I am 26 years old, 5'6 and 106-108 lbs in fluctuation. I am working on gaining right now but it's very hard! I don't know my exact measurements, but when I started, my 34C bra was too big- looser up top. In the past few days, I have filled it out quite nicely, like it actually fits now. Tongue I never bothered to get new bras when I lost weight, but hopefully that will change because I would like to be a D cup at the finish Smile

Another/separate question that I have for you ladies- where did you get your hormonal testing done? Regular doctor, naturopath, or online? I just got back from my primary doctor and she literally shut down all of my attempts and reasoning as to why I wanted to get the testing done. It kind of sucked, actually. She wrote off everything that I am experiencing as plain and simple "mood disorder" and I left there with a prescription for Lexapro instead. Dodgy I am actually still pondering whether Fenugreek is the best route for me since I had such a terrible anxiety/mood problem on birth control. So far, I have had a slight increase of anxiety on it but I'm not sure whether it's related to that or just anxiety about other things. Tongue

I am still getting used to navigating this site, so I apologize if this post is in the wrong area!

I take glandulars for anxiety and weight gain. thyroid glandular for weight gain (I'm gaining muscle, not fat) & adrenal glandular for anxiety. I've been on them for two months and had immediate results with both.
they are cheap and you can't take too many. this might be an option for you. good luck.

Thank you Natty!

Does anyone know a good alternative to taking Fenugreek? I'm a bit concerned about it causing my endometriosis to come back and also read online that it could actually cause cancer in estrogen-dominant women. I still need to get my hormones checked somehow as well and see what I'm working with, because I have no idea other than the symptoms I experienced on birth control. A little worried to mess with my hormone levels anymore until then. Did most of you go about the hormone testing online ordering them or did you go through your primary doctors?

Thanks for the help.

@Ella I just googled "Fenugreek + cancer" and several links came up about phytoestrogens in general I believe.

"Care should be taken in the use of phytoestrogen supplements that may contain phytoestrogens at levels far higher than in food. Since phytoestrogens can have estrogen-like effects in humans, use of these supplements for a long time could increase breast cancer risk."

^that is one of the links, I can look again later as I am on my cell phone right now.

I am new to all of this stuff though and have no idea whether it can be harmful or not. I was just curious as to whether anyone else knew.
