Greetings, Some important info one should read about Genistein, (one of the phytoestrogens in PM and other products).
Also note that increased consumption of soy products reduces plasma concentrations of estradiol.
Genistein: does it prevent or promote breast cancer?

Possible Anti-Estrogenic Effects of Genistein
Genistein has significant estrogenic properties in both in vitro and in vivomodels (Table1). Genistein binds to the estrogen receptor(ER), although its binding affinity is several-fold weaker than that of estradiol(30). Genistein can also activate a number of estrogen-responsive genes in vitro, including pS2 and c-fos (18,31). Furthermore, when
administered at low doses, genistein stimulates the growth of ER-positive(ER+) breast cancer cells (18-20). Findings in other tissue systems support the estrogenicity of genistein. For example, genistein is uterotrophic in a variety of species, resulting in impaired reproductive activity and increases inuterine wet weights.
Phytoestrogens and diseases of the prostate gland.
In particular, soya contains the isoflavone genistein, a compound with many properties which could influence both endocrine and growth factor signalling pathways.

Very informative.
I have since stopped fenugreek anyway but this primarily was the fuel behind it.

What's troubling is the amount of conflicting information, one report has genistien causing cell death in cancer, then this report states otherwise (studies are like that). Some studies are biased from supporting interests, even though the goal of the study will state an un-biased approach lol. Getting the word/info out to our BN members is what's important, what they decide is up to them.

That's what I was thinking, it has anti AND pro tumour properties.
So I was thinking maybe its genetics too. Asisans seem to have a tolerance vs Caucasians, I guess its like meat eaters going over to a vegetarian country, historically their bodies aren't USED to eating a vegan based diet and will suffer as a consequence.
So it seems pre menopausal Caucasian women are less tolerant of soy and associated supplements.
If you haven't already, can you throw in here what supplements are high in GEINSTEIN, ie PM, fenugreek etc all the phytos us girls are using here for NBE

It's generally advised not to take it for long periods, 2-3 months at a time, although many go past this time frame. The point is no one can say for sure what "is" the safest time frame. Tbh, I would try and examine the daily exposure you might be exposed to by xenoestrogens. Meaning you'd be surprised by the amount of estrogens you get on a daily basis, and xeno's are not the kind that produces NBE.
So, knowing these risks can help identify and hopefully reduce estrogen dominance. Safest herbs?, I'd start with the lowest amounts, you'll soon find out how it will affect you, (e.g. Cycle).

what do you think of this... Thai kudzu being a estrogen metaboliser?
It follows suit with what I've seen about PM (the pure legitimate right dosage kind) .
Don't get me wrong still scares the shit out of me trying the stuff, but based on passwater (don't know his credibility) that the rightvPM is cancer preventative and modulates (what have you) any excess estrogen to good kind..
