B-Tribe https://youtu.be/6jlrw-voUQo (I've recently heard 2 of their other albums and, as far as I'm concerned, they're not as good as this, you might like them, though.)

Jean-Michel Jarre https://youtu.be/nz1cEO01LLc (I can't even listen to the first few notes of this without wanting to rush around and shut out all the lights first!!
He once did an album in the mid `80's called, "Rendezvous". Part of it was designed to be recorded in space on the Challenger space shuttle. His friend, Ron (I forget his last name) was one of the astronauts that were on the shuttle and he was supposed to play and record a sax solo in space for the album, it was to be the first album to be partially recorded in space! Ron was VERY excited to do the recording and rehearsed his parts constantly!! Sadly, that was the first shuttle that blew up on take off!! Jean-Michel had to get someone else to play Ron's solo, but dedicated the album to him and the song on it that Ron was to play on was called, "Last Rendezvous".
Jean-Michel's dad did the soundtrack to quite a few movies.)

Tangerine Dream https://youtu.be/73mrtLt9FDU (They MUST have at LEAST 60 or 70 albums out and, although I still don't have all of their stuff, what I do have would take 8.5 DAYS to listen to from start to finish!!
Their founding member, Edgar Froese, just died a few weeks ago, he was at least 72 and was the only member of the band to play on every recording they ever did. He was a HUGE Beatles fan and took the name Tangerine Dream from the lyrics to, "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds".
They did TONS of soundtrack albums in the `80's!!
This album, "Stratosfear" is their very best album!! ESPECIALLY the last song!! Although, John Peel says that "Phaedra" was their best. I'd say it's a close second. Their first album was very experimental, their next half dozen were pretty atmospheric, like this one, the next dozen were a BIT more song-centric, only one or two of them having a singer.
Most of their albums are pretty good, but the ones in the late `80's or so are a bit too song-centric. They were better in their early years when they were spacey, largely improvisational and used lots of mellotron.)

Quite welcome!! Yeah, it's REALLY nice!! Only two tracks have vocals, one near the end has a woman who sounds like she's singing opera, on the last song, there's only two lines of vocals and I think they only get sung twice in the song.

Thanks!! Glad you liked it!! :-)
By the way, I remembered that it was Maurice Jarre that did a lot of movie soundtracks.

When we used to rehearse at Know Idea house, their bass player, Ted, would spend MANY hours sitting lotus on the are of one of his couches meditating to this album playing it over and over again!! My fave on the album is "The Woman Who Was Married To Love". It starts out with recording of a guy laughing at slow speed and it keeps playing the same groove over and over again. Then the music comes in and sounds like a very sad & lonely merry-go-round.
This is a recent re-issue and apparently has Steve's poetry on it. The original one in the late `80's didn't have that.

Steve Hillage started this band in the early `90's. As far as I know, he left after the first album.
