Menstruation stopped while on NBE

#1

Hello everybody,
I could say I am a newbie here, but that would not be exactly true. I introduced myself with NBE about August 2014. By researching all about it I discovored estrogen dominance for myself. I stopped NBE very soon then and started to use PG to balance my hormones. Now they are fine and I considered to restart my NBE 2 weeks ago. I still use PG cream twice a day, doing rotation massages twice a day - mornings 200 rotations, evenings 300, using flaxseed oil with a little e-vit oil. Complementing myself with B complex and D vitamin, Omega 3 capsules and Kelp. Listening to rockmelon ringtone everyday for about a week now. That's basically it.
The problem (?) is that I had to have my period started 3-4 days ago and it has not. It is never late, always on time. I had a belly cramps at those days like I would normally do on my period but that's it. Not a drop of blood, not even a single spot. Did pregnancy test today - it's negative.

Could anyone of you have any idea what could have happened?

I tried to google the problem and not found answers exactly. Deer masage technique states that it could lessen or stop menstrual bleeding, but I am not even doing proper deer massages, and even if I do, could menstrual bleeding stop completely after just 2 weeks of doing it?

Also I am a little concerned, if I have stopped my mentruation through NBE can I still be fertile? Cause I would like to plan another child in a near future.

Would be greatefull if anyone could explain or share a similar experience. Thanks.

Hi.
It could be that Progesterone lowers the pituitary gland from putting out LH and FSH which help cause menstruation. In other words, it may be because of too much progesterone; this imbalance may also limit NBE by decreasing sensitization. It may be good to take a break, and be cautious when trying NBE. Cycling is a good idea, and it's a good idea to limit it during certain times of the cycle.

Cycle Progesterone and Prolactin herbs.
Cycle, but limit LH and FSH herbs, along with Aromatase. (LH and FSH herbs help with menstruation; they also increase estrogen and testosterone; aromatase is to convert extra testosterone into estrogen).
Prolactin helps increase Progesterone during the luteal phase, so this is something to consider.

Be careful with the progesterone to estrogen balance. Regular menstruation is one indicator (but not necessarily a guarantee) that hormones are balanced.

By PG cream, you meant progesterone cream right?

It seems that the fertility issue is temporary, but continued excess imbalance of Progesterone is a risk for sterility, by shrinking the gonads until they become inactive. There's not much to worry about, since it is normal for menstruation to stop during pregnancy and nursing although during this time there are forms of estrogen balancing out progesterone and prolactin. It is also normal for menstruation to be irregular during early puberty too.

I hope this helps.

I am cycling progesterone cream, always have. Using it only on luteal phase. I am not using any herbs, only supplements mentioned above. By saying -" but continued excess imbalance of Progesterone is a risk for sterility" did you mean I could have excess progesterone? If so, I did not know there is such thing.

It's probably nothing, because it is normal for the cycle to vary by ± 7 days. There's a such thing as an imbalance of too much progesterone, but that takes a lot to cause problems; and there's conditions where high progesterone is normal as I wrote above. It's probably possible to have an imbalance of any hormone.

For the luteal phase, it'd be good to use topical aromatase such as peony, lavender or tea tree along with a progestogen (such as clover or fenugreek).

If you're worried about wanting menstruation to start, spearmint tea can help, but too much mint is a worry if you're concerned about pregnancy.

I am not worried to have my menstruation back, actually I am fine without it Big Grin on a condition that it is caused by breast massage and my health is fine and I am not putting my fertility under risk.

Maybe try something that will balance your hormones more holistically, such as Vitex or Maca rather than the Progesterne cream? PC tends to burn out the receptors, and its easy to overdo it. Smile

I think I will take PC a smaller dose and need to check my hormones again sometime soon. And if I will have too much progesterone (which I doubt last tested my hormones at the end of Nov last year and still was estrogen dominant) I will change it to vitex as you say.

Thanks a lot, Soledad Smile

It's true, too much of one hormone can do that. It's why a progestogen should be taken with aromatase (which coverts androgens into estrogens), and possibly lactation herbs (prolactin). Vitex does normalize progesterone.

Chenismyname, yes PG cream did cure my estrogen dominance, that is why after 6 month of using it I decided to go back to NBE.

Girls, my period started on saturday, so I am apologizing for making trouble out of it. I just never in my life have had such a delay and I still think that delay is somehow in connection with my NBE activities. Thank you everyone for your replies!
