All things Brava

#1

Hi! I thought it would be good to start a brava thread for everyone to share tips, tweaks to it, ask questions, and to share their experiences with the Brava system Smile

So, I'll start. A little about me- I've had 1 child, breastfed and grew several cup sizes because of that. I mean, those suckers got big! Lol. I've read numberous times that if a woman has been pregnant, breastfed, or has gained/lost weight and therefore has lost a good amount of volume in her Breasts that those are the people who respond the best with Brava. Though, people who've never done any of those can also grow from it, just apparently not as fast or have the same amount of growth.

*The company instructs users to wear this device for 12 hours a day for 12 weeks. However most people see much better results when they wear it for longer periods of time and for more weeks than that. (For instance 14-16 hours a day for 14 weeks). It sounds hard, but if you live alone or live with someone who's understanding/supportive, then it's pretty easy. I put it on in the evening, wear it during the night, then take it off in the morning.

Even though you're really not supposed to skip a night (apparently it sets you back a whole week), I've already skipped a couple. Not intentionally, I'd just fall asleep before I could put it on because I was so exahsted. And on the nights I'm planning on going out, I wear this during the day beforehand, and then for longer the next day.

Before I go into my experiences so far, I just want to say that my program thread is dead right now. I stopped doing NBE for a while, then started back up and have changed some things about my program. I will be posting a new program thread and also a separate Brava journey thread in a couple of weeks.

So, I started Brava on April 16, so 2.5 weeks ago. I started just like Brava instructs you to, only starting with about 4 hours, then building up to 12 hours in the first 4 days of use. I've gone as much as 20 hours in one day so far, but adding up the hours I've pumped and dividing it by the days I've pumped, I've averaged about 12.5 hours a day so far. But that's only because I hit a road block when my batteries stopped working, so for 3 nights straight, my smart box would quit working in the middle of the night. I went and bought the same 900 mAh rechargeable batteries and replaced them and it works great again. (I love that Brava put a sticker on the brava batteries that reads "do not remove batteries". I'm sure they did this so people will order a new smart box from them instead of going and spending $12 for 4 new rechargeable batteries and fixing the problem. Or also because if you use a lower mAh rechargeable battery, it won't last as long.)

Growth- well, since it's only been about 2.5 weeks so far and because my hours have been inconsistent due to the battery problem, skipping a day or two, and also wearing it as much as 20 hours in one day, my measurements have changed a lot. But I will say that I went 33 hours without pumping (not on purpose, you're not supposed to go this long between pumping sessions) and I measured at 33 hours after and I was still 1.5" bigger than when I started. The biggest growth I've had so far was a 2 and 3/4" growth. This was measuring right after I took the domes off after pumping for 17 hours. As the day goes on, the swelling goes down. Just like with the noogleberry (which I've used). I'll upload pics in a few days- it actually kind of blew my mind. I never got swelling like that from noogleberry

As for the edges of the silicone rims strangely digging into your skin (I say strangely because the edges are flimsy and soft, so you wouldn't think they'd do this)- I've tested out a few things to help stop this. On me, it only does this between my Breasts & no where else. But I've also had marks other places and was also getting tiny sweat blisters (that didn't hurt) and bumps. So I went to the drugstore and bought several different things to try out. The best thing Ive found that completely stops the digging into my skin, and as an added bonus, somehow has stopped the tiny blisters and bumps too, is this: it's fully flexible, breathable unstretched gentle tape and its 2" wide.

http://m.cvs.com/mt/www.cvs.com/shop/hom...uid-210000

Make sure it's this kind and not any other kind of medical tape because I've tried other kinds and no, they do not work. Only this kind works. You can use other brands, just make sure it's this same type. It sticks to itself, not your skin, it's very stretchy and breathable. It's about the same color as an ace bandage. It's actually pretty amazing because it still allows the domes to fully stick/seal. When you take your domes off, disconnect the smart box first and allow the domes to decompress before pulling them off of you. After a pumping session, this tape will somewhat stick to you, but nothing like a bandaid does. Pull it off and voila! No dig marks, no bumps! No need to remove the sticky stuff from your domes either if your skin has reacted to it- put this between the rims and your skin.

When I'm done pumping, I remove the tape, dip it in alcohol, wipe my rims & domes with alcohol and lay the tape flat to dry. It's sticky the following night so I can reuse it. You might want to only reuse it for maybe a week before using new strips? I don't know.

Make sure you're flipping your rims outward first when putting them on, and also bend over to get all of your breasts in there.

I also don't use the brava filters. I fold up toilet paper and put it in my domes, kind of against the dome at the bottom where the hose attaches. I've read that the filters lower the suction. I haven't even tried them, I just saw someone mention the idea for the toilet paper, so I've been doing that all along.

Hi, I just wanted to let you know I like your comments and I hope you keep making them! I know it sucks to put a lot of effort into a post and get no responses so I wanted to let you know someone is watching and appreciates it :3

As for me I'm planning to buy the set. Whatever it takes. I will straight up call brava and order it from the telephone line if they don't require anything beyond the order (like no consultations, etc) even for full price because for bigger, natural breast this is something realistic totally worth committing to even for a 1000 dollar price tag.

FYI for anyone wondering "why brava and not NB or BB or Kangzhu?" well to be frank I'm not putting those oddly shaped things on my breast because shape is more important imo than a large size. Not to mention those things look horridly uncomfortable and 50 dollars wasted is worse than a grand well spent. Just my opinion.
I searched high and low for domes in a similar shape and there are none (probably due to a patent by Brava?) soooo yeah thats that.

I definitely think that breast growth is a slow process period especially for adults well into their maturity who shouldn't realistically expect to grow anything let alone breasts so thats also a consideration. Anything worth doing takes a lot of commitment, said any true beauty everywhere.

I am wondering some things like how you get too sleep with it on, how is it under clothing during the day, do the cups wear out and if so what specifically happens and how much does it cost to get new ones? I haven't changed a clarisonic brush head in a year so I'm kinda going on the same use it til it breaks principle here tbh.

Not to mention I checked the NB forums and while some women had fabulous results a lot (who were all genetically men, not sure if that's why) had these very hair stretch out skin that contained CLEARLY no breast tissue, it just looked pulled on like old taking a leather pursing and letting it dangle with 20 pound weights attached for a year. That is noooot the kind of growth I wanted so I decided on Brava.

I will def post more into this thread in a month or so when I have it and am using it regularly. If I'm not sold one buy next monday, Brava is getting a call lol.

Lol. Thank you for that!! I will tell you that although I'm not against NB at all, Brava has been the winner for me personally. Not only does it give me MUCH better and MUCH quicker results, it doesn't hurt, I can move around and clean/cook/do things with them on, lift my arms up, everything and keep suction. I sleep with them on without losing suction if I move an inch, They're comfortable to sleep in. Just don't try to sleep on your stomach. Haha! And I have zero problems falling asleep and staying asleep. Plus you get so used to them after a week or so, you don't even think about it really. I wish I could upload pics right this second. When I started, I was 6" across each breast (from crease to crease across the nipple). When I took them off today, they were bigger than they have been so far and measured almost 8" on each breast. This of course will take a while to become permenant growth. But STILL! I was still rocking much bigger boobs 14 hours later before putting them back on tonight.

It helps grow all of the Breasts, including flat upper boob and the side boob!! This morning, I couldn't swing my arms straight forward without hitting them on the sides. I have a before pic of me bending over (as well as other before pics) to show more that my nipples pointed outward. Now with the side boob growth, they're centered and when I bend over they point downward in the center. Yay!

No pulled boob look or feel!! And no hair. Haha! Honestly They feel and look really full and nice and firm, almost like you have Breastmilk (but not engorged), or like you have well worn in/soft silicone gel implants when you take the domes off. Even 14 hours later they still feel & look very full and way more firm than when I started. (I breastfed and got huge boobs, so I had a lot of room in them initially). Im sure the longer we do it, the better it will get too.

The only thing I have a complaint about, is that I've gotten into the habit of hunching over when I wear them. SO not a deal breaker by any means. But I've noticed than even when they're not on, I start to hunch. I just stand up straight and it's fine. It's not really a big deal to me, and that's more MY fault than it is the Brava.

I personally can't wear these out. I'm also a tiny person, 5'1", petite thin frame. Wearing this under a shirt makes it look like I got beyond porn star implants. Lol. But I've seen photos of other women who wore it under clothes and I swear to you it didn't look weird at all. So I'm assuming they're builds are larger than mine.

The cups themselves don't wear out. It's the silicone rim around the domes that do. What happens first after some wear is the sticky stuff wears off and you can't get suction. You can buy roll on body glue to apply to the domes/yourself to get the seal back. No big deal. Honestly, I haven't bought any yet and I was desperate so I wanted to see if this glue stick worked (like arts & crafts, you need this for school supplies, little kid glue stick). YEP!! I've been using that ever since I tried it several days ago. Works like a charm! I apply it to the rims and on my skin. BAM! Suction. I'll look into other things to use too, but this works perfect for now.

Anyways, the silicone rims will start to kind of tear apart where they get applied to your skin, then some people have said they get to the stage of being unusable (I haven't gotten there yet myself). If you order directly through brava, then you'll be able to order any replacement parts and accessories through them as well. Or you might get lucky and find some cheaper new or used domes on here or EBay. Whichever you prefer. I bought my whole set on EBay for almost half the price, BUT I can't order replacement parts or accessories through Brava, so if I need something I have to luck out on EBay or here.

I will say, for me at least, it actually looks more like I have great implants that are more projected than natural, flatter boobs.

Hours of wear: The site states 10 hours minimum for therapeutic amount of time/for it to have effect, but that won't get you very far. 12 hours should be your minimum, 14-16 hours would be ideal. Apparently your body hits a plateau when it's fully engorged, usually at 18 hours. You won't see more growth/swelling after the 18 hours.

The growth rate of 14 hours of wear consistently is significantly greater than the growth rate of 10 hours of wear consistently. (A chart can be seen on the following link.) This link also discusses rapid, average and slow responders, how far back a skipped day will set you, how to judge how long it will take to get your desired size, ect.

http://www.mybrava.com/what-to-expect.asp

"For growth using BRAVA ALONE (not before or following surgeries or fat grafts) the more hours worn the better, up to about 18. The body seems to hit a plateau once it is fully engorged, usually taking place about 18 hours. You won't see a difference from an 18 hr day & a 24 hr day. To wear it 24/7 on a regular basis would not be recommended for several reasons: the abuse to the skin and the domes, no time to have the minor maintenance to your sport box, (dry cleaning about 1 hr per 10 hrs of wear) and you would also need to buy more domes since they would certainly wear out much more prematurely.

The long term wear for 10 wks or longer could go on as long as a year without stopping,. then it would be best to stop for a couple months to avoid a more severe plateau where the cell splitting is not taking place. Then you could do another session after that break. It is not written in stone as to how much you would grow in the 2nd session it varies just as it varies from person to person for any growth. In this method of wear, you are gradually expanding skin along with the swelling of the underlying tissues, not over stretching the skin, just filling up as you go.

14-16 hours is a manageable pattern for many people, however some find they may have a personal limitation caused by over use, more skin issues or muscle tenderness but do fine with the usual 10-13 hours. Do what you can do, if you get reactions, back off find your own personal comfort zone.

Regarding a hand or turbo pump - it should NEVER be used if not being used as a pre-operative device to maximize the SKIN, not just the tissue. Using the hand pump or turbo device without getting surgery may cause sagging skin and or nipples. In this method (hand pump or turbo device), your goal is not to get growth, just skin expansion and tissue expansion but to over expand the skin in preparation for the procedure of lipo-filling (fat transfer), to fill in the excess skin that would occur. This is done for a shorter period, 4-5 weeks only before surgery. If using BRAVA ALONE without surgery or fat transfer, only do the recommended times (between 10 hours and 18 hours) and use the smart box or sport box from Brava to avoid unwanted results."

Love the updates. Hopefully I get a system soon and start adding my own input and possibly pictures on imgur depending on my results. I'm waiting til August to start and my goal is to give it until May to decide if the growth was significant or not so that's 10 months with a 10 hour/day goal.

I'm trying to train myself to sleep on my back face up in the mean time. It's hit or miss most nights but getting better. Most nights now I can at least sleep sideways but I'm a natural stomach sleeper.

Have you found any clothing that adequately conceals the system for daily use? I'm thinking worst case worse I can just drape a blanket over myself and wear the system daily on weekends.
