Is anyone here taking soy isoflavones?
I have read in many online articles that it can interfere with BCP.
Does anyone know more about this?

I was also wondering if soy isoflavones would be safer than red clover??
I am still hesitating between these 2 estrogenic herbs (I would like to avoid fenugreek because I'm scared I might gain weight)but I don't know if it's OK to take them with BCP.

I can't see why you couldn't take the soy while in bcps, women take all kinds of things while they are on it... of course if you notice anything weird going on drop it and let us know Smile good luck

Well, I dunno, I have read that you should avoid soy isoflavones if you are on another hormonal treatment because there might be interactions... but oh well I think I'll do it anyway. Thanks Wink

hmm... well I can't see why it would, I mean there are people who eat tons of soy but could be on BCPs and see okay. its not like it is actually another whole boost of estorgen like your BCPs... I don't want to give you the wrong advice though. hopefully some other ladies will reply.

Soy isoflavones are not that strong to interfere with BCP, but again different people's body react differently to things. I personally dont believe that soy is beneficial to NBE, as i feel we are flooding the body with too weak a form of phytoestrogens that occupy estrogen receptors. That said am quite sure it has worked for some people. I will advise you to try fenugreek, this herbs dont make everyone put on weight and at the end of the day a pill cant make you put on weight is how you eat and what you eat that will make you put on weight, as well as how inactive you are. The pill might make you want to eat more, but if you munch on baby carrots and drink water or even carbonated water, that drives away the urge to munch for a couple of hours. All am trying to say its if you eat healthy you wont get fat no matter the herbs you take, now cellulite is a different matter.

I have been on NBE since December of last year, I started at 37.5 inches and now am 40inches, I havent put on even a pound extra to my regular weight.

Goodluck.
