Isn't it a relative of milk thistle which is in Wonderup and also recommended as a separate herb as a liver tonic? I don't take it as I think it's a diuretic.

blessed thistle is not the same thing (or even similar) to milk thistle.
milk thistle is indeed a liver tonic/purifier, whereas blessed thistle is more of a digestive herb. it is definitely one of the better herbs for BE, along with more standard ones such as fenugreek

I take blessed thistle in a tea called Mother's Milk.

Milk Thistle is very effective for cleaning the liver and for some, weight loss

I always see a big difference when i take blessed thistle over my current programme. My boobs always seem to swell when I'm on it.
