Grace's program

#11

Hey Shay, thanks for the tip. Wahaika also recommends the fenugreek extract from Greenbush.net. I was planning on using aloe vera gel as well for the massage: for my lifestyle oil is a bit too messy. How many bottles of the extract do you think would be a good place to start off with?

HI Grace

Here is two links you may want to take a look at. The first is from Fennel Fairy on skin penetration, for NBE. I believe there are notes on what will go rancid faster, and what will last the longest. The second link is a page by wahakia that is full on info. Batter mixes, herbs, and load of info on NBE. Once again, many thanks Wahakia.

Thanks Andy! The post by Fennel Fairy was very fascinating. I have skimmed through that post you provided by Wahaika in the past: it is really so full of information and I often find myself reviewing it.
I was wondering if you knew why aloe vera gel would be a good "carrier" for the fenugreek extract? Since it is not an oil I was wondering how it is sure to penetrate the skin effectively? (compared to, per say, Avocado oil, which is highly effective according to Fennel Fairy.)
Thank you Andy for the information you provided and the time you took to help me. Smile

Thank you for the question grace.
It was a good one. I did not stop to ask myself the same question. I have known about the restoritive powers of aloa on burn and cuts. And its ability to moisterize skin. I used to keep a plant or too around for cuts and burns. Now that I am diabetic I may need to keep some onhand. However, I did not stop to think of using it for NBE as a carrier. I do use soloarcaine sunburn gel aloa from time to time after massaging or when I thnk I may have pumped too much.
It seems that aloa vera is extremely good penetrator for the skin. According to the pages I viewed. Listed below. It can penetrate its moisture to seven layers of the skin. Further it is packed full of every amino acid the body needs and other goodness for the skin. Who knew? Oil sits on top of the skin which is one reason to use a penetrator esential oil like eucalyptus essential oil. So after reviewing these pages I am probably going to change my mix to a solarcaine based one. I will have to look around for a aloa based skin product with high amount or aloa.

Thank you Andy! The webpages you provided really have interesting information. Very useful and just what I needed to understand why aloe is a good choice for my batter. Now I just gotta choose what aloe "product" I want to use...
I have an aloe plant... maybe I could just use that? I also have bottles of aloe gel that you would just buy in the grocery store for burns and cuts. Would that work? Hmm or maybe I should go to the health store and get that bottled aloe supplement stuff, it's still in gel form... don't know...

Hi Grace.
I believe you would want to use a product with the most amount of Aloa Vera in it. If you want to use your plant. There was a page that talked about do it yourself harvest and use. I didn't keep the link so you will have to google it.
Good luck with your program. Let me know what you find out and decide to use. I am interested in the answer but my time has become short.

Thanks
