Gingko biloba is very handy for booby growth project. I recommend to take it, most definitely. If it's in Wonderup that's very good, Wonderup people know a lot, but you can still take more. If 500mg you mention is whole gingko then 500mg or 1000mg isn't too much.

My various info. says:
It may take up to 2 weeks for it to have effects
Be careful of it if you take prescription blood thinning meds..or if you take OTC pain relievers AS ginko with these may cause internal bleeding.

It increases the supply of oxygen to the heart, brain ,and throughout the body.
It acts as an antioxident, has anti-aging effects, reduces blood pressure, inhibits blood clotting, helpful for tinnutus, vertigo, hearing loss, impotence, can also slow early progression of alzheimer's disease.

The only thing that I can see as a risk of overdose is its properties of blood thinning and blood pressure reduction.

WaxingMoon: Question about Ginkgo

Hello,
I'm inclined to think that I have bad circulation. My feet are almost always cold and my body temperature is 97.2 (temperature taken externally, under arm). So.......what I wanted to ask is how much of ginkgo biloba are you taking per day? I was looking in your routine but I didn't find any mention of it, although you've mentioned that ur taking it in other posts. Also, why did you not choose to use cayenne pepper?

Hi Ann, I'm also one of the people taking ginko biloba. I take 120 mg per day, which is I believe extract. If you take whole herb, you should multiply the extract value by 4. In my first and one half of my second cycle since I added it, it made a huge difference, I wasn't cold anymore at all and I got growing pains for the first time ever. But towards the end of the second the pains subsided and I was a bit more cold again (thogugh not as I used to be). Then in the third cycle I got some pains again, which is rather strange. I'm not sure whether my body got used to GB, I guess I should wait and see till the end of this cycle. I'm also planning to use cayenne, as soon as I can get a hold on some. I added GB because I couldn't buy cayenne anywhere, but I think cayenne is just as good or maybe even better, but a combination of these two or some other herbs known for circulation benefit must be the most effective.

Thanks for replying Moon, btw there's a few moons on board, huh?
Not to mention a lot of Ann's, Annas, etc.

Anyhow, I'm thinking I might just go with cayenne because when I search ginkgo I find it helps more with memory more than circulation. So, I guess my search is on for dosage and pricing for that. Anyone on the board taken/taking cayenne?

Re: WaxingMoon: Question about Ginkgo
December 20 2006, 11:09 PM

I am taking cayenne...I only take one pill per day, with food, because it can be very spicy on the tummy. Watch out for that. I do believe that it helps with circulation, and 2 or 3 pills a day would probably be even better. Just read the back of the bottle, I guess. Another thing about cayenne, is that it is supposed to increase the effectiveness of other herbs that are taken with it, and this will be very good for NBE, I would think. All around a great herb, just watch out for your stomach.

WU already contains ginko biloba, but adding more couldn't hurt I think. However, I think the 'burning' herbs like cayenne and ginger are better for circulation. I took ginko and it seemed to make a difference for a while, but then my body totally got used to it. Then I took cayenne and it cured my cold feet. I stoped taking it during summer cause it isn't so necessary as during winter and to prevent getting used to it too, but I'll take it up again.
But I also use vacum for increasing blood supply to the breast and I have to say I feel this helps much more than herbs. Often when I apply vacum, I get a lot more pains immediately, particualry if I apply it late in the afternoon when growth hormone levels are high.

Ok, so I have tried ginko biloba for almost 2 weeks now and I think it is helping me.
I have had more pains than usual, not all the time but it comes and goes, yipeee!!!

I also lowered my dose of SP, maybe that is the reason too? I will continue with ginko biloba
and get back if/when I notice any growth.

In the past I was actually interested in buying some more for it's memory benefits, because of my, erm, "leisure activities", but if it works for this too I could get some for both benefits!

Information about poor blood circulation
December 3 2006 at 2:32 PM
Alcest (Login Alcest)
I think I will be going to the store to pick up some ginkgo this week and maybe cayenne. Just wanted to post some information I found about poor blood circulation for everyone.

Get the blood moving

If you think of how the body works, the basic action of the blood moving from cell to cell is of great importance to your health and longevity. The best herb to handle any circulation problem is Cayenne. Also know as Capsicum, the botanical name being Capsicum frutescens. Cayenne is the species of capsicum that is used medicinally for its stimulant and antiseptic actions, as well as its digestive properties. Cayenne can be used externally for poor circulation, unbroken chilblains and pains associated with arthritis or lumbago. Capsicum based creams, liniments, and infused oils can be rubbed onto the skin. Avoid the eyes and other sensitive area of the body.

Internally cayenne stimulates the heart, regulating the blood flow and strengthening the arteries and capillaries. If you want to get your blood flowing, and your face red with blood take cayenne tincture. It will not only get the blood pumped around your body, but it will strengthen your heart, clear your arteries, and research has shown that hot herbs raise your metabolic rate by as much as 25%, so will assist in weight loss. Cayenne is a wonderful herb for a healthy life.

Ginkgo Biloba is another all-round circulation booster. It is most widely know for its ability to improve memory, due to its ability to increase blood flow through the brain. In Germany, Gingko is used by physicians to treat varicose veins. It like cayenne improves blood flow and strengthens blood vessels. Gingko is also anti-inflammatory, relaxes the lungs, improves blood flow to the heart and lessens coronary demand for oxygen -reducing shortness of breath and is helpful in asthma. Use it to treat poor circulation, thrombosis, varicose veins, cramp, and spontaneous bruising.

Probably the ultimate and most potent combination to combat poor circulation is Cayenne, Ginger, Garlic and Ginkgo (See below to order).

Modern research shows that a regular intake of Garlic, along will many other curative properties, lowers cholesterol levels in the blood. It cleanses the blood, tones the heart and circulatory system, helps prevent heart disease, helps in high blood pressure and reduces the risk of atherosclerosis*. Ginger stimulates all tissues of the body and is fantastic for poor circulation. Ginger, Garlic, Ginkgo and Cayenne in a tincture can be easily and speedily absorbed by the body.

*atherosclerosis a degenerative disease of the arteries characterised by patchy thickening of the inner lining of the arterial walls, caused by deposits of fatty material.

Onion being a close relative to Garlic, increases blood circulation and can relax muscles. Eat daily if you are at risk of heart disease or circulatory disorders.

Thanx for posting this info Alcest. I've been trumpeting this recently like crazy (lol), cause ever scince I did research on blood circulation and had positive experience with GB, I strongly belive that blood circulation is what in many if not most cases prevents NBE from working and is even a huge factor to why breasts don't develop in the first place. I think it's very important and should go under general information.
Btw I saw a commercial product with the same combination - Cayenne, Ginger, Garlic and Ginkgo, sold on the web, probably a good one, but extremely expensive. Cayeene sounds very good, but unfortunately I can only get ginko biloba.

Yes Cayenne is good.

Gotu Kola is also an excellent herb for circulation problems too, but it shouldn't be taken for more than 6 weeks.

It's virtually impossible to incorporate cayenne into the diet, at least a high enoguh dose. Cayenne is a hot herb, it gives a burning feeling on the mucosus membranes, which is why you must not take a too high dose or you'll get a stomachake. It depends on the individual, I found I could take 300 mg easily and not get any burning, sometimes up to 400 mg and I would get a mild burning in my stomach which would go away if I drank enoguh water. This is in one capsule, but you take 3 in a day of course. But it depends on the individual. I think you shouldn't have any problem with a dose of 200 mg. You can try higher later. And remeber to take it with a lot of water.

Gotu Kola and ginger has been mentioned but probably ginkgo biloba is the most popular choice for circulation.

Circulation and Herb question

Sorry Girls, can't seem to find all the posts I remember reading and I did the search too!!! Will keep trying though.......

How would one go about deciding if they have a poor circulation, other then being cold all the time? I don't want to jump the gun and start taking something else, but I am always cold. My feet, my hands, my butt, everything!! My dh makes me sleep with socks on and if I am really cold, gloves. I have always been this way.

I have ginko here at the house, bought it awhile back for memory, but never took it, so I am wondering if I should take it. I remember reading that some of you girls really think it is beneficial, and I am wondering if it might help me?

Any thoughts or feedback? or new information?

Thanks a bunch
Henri

If you are cold more than it's normal, best chances are that it's because of poor blood circulation. If it was because of another condition, you'd notice other negative symptoms: at iron deficiency hair loss, frail nails, tiredness, weakness, getting muscle acke from the lightest excercise; at low thyroid activity dry skin and hair, weight gain, fatiguem depression.
Poor circulation means that you have constricted arterioles, which reduces the blood supply that peripheral tissues are getting. You can imagine how that would affect NBE - we'd take herbs, but they would hardly pass through the boobs, boobs wouldn't be enough exposed to them.
GB helps marvolously with poor blood circulation. In my case however, I'm wondering if my body got used to it cause lately I'm cold again after I noticed a great change in the first few weeks after starting it. I hope not.
Anyway, I would also recomed doing ten high jumps now and then throughout the day to get the heart pumping, it doesn't really take any time and it does make quite a difference to the circulation too.

I am anemic, but I take iron for that already ~ I also know my symptoms of low iron is extreme fatigue/weakness, and my nails get brittle, and I don't have any of that. I feel really good, and my nails are very very strong right now. So I don't think that is it.

Last time my thyroid was checked it was fine, so I don't think that would be it, but who knows ~ I also don't have any of those symptoms.

I'm thinking I might go ahead and start taking ginko just to see what happens. I also found the post I was looking for, and it helped to answer some of my other questions. I somehow overlooked it previously ~ But being cold all the time is the one thing that keeps standing out to me. Hey if anything maybe I'll remember more, thats always a plus!

I will also incorporate some of those jumps, my guys will love it. Any excuse to bounce and jump and whatever else we can think of ~

Iron...............
December 8 2006, 8:25 PM

I currently am taking, doc approved (actually recommended) 3- 45 mg tablets of iron a day, in the Feosol bran, which is what she told me to get. I have been taking this dosage off and on for about 3 years now. I only go off of it, because anybody that has taken that much iron knows it tears your stomach up, so I need a periodic break. The herbs have actually played no part in my iron defiency getting worse or better, it has stayed the same since I was 14 years old. When I was pregnant with my last son, I was taking 3 tablets x 3 meals a day of this stuff, so that was 405mg of iron a day! Thats alot of iron! I don't recommend anyone take that amount unless under dr. supervision, thats the only reason I take what I take.

Like I said, I think I'll try the ginko, and just see what it does, I could always use an imporved memory!! ~ Right now the only herbs that are in my pills are: fenugreek seed, fennel seed, dong quai root, saw palmetto berries and blessed thistle. Its the natureday fulfillment formula. I am taking fish oil too. And thats it.

Hey Mark,

I started out just taking 120mg (1 pill) cause that's what's recommended on the bottle, but I didn't think that was enough at all since I'm still having body parts fall asleep here. Smile So I just recently increased it to 2pills a day....one in the morning and one in the evening. I got mine at CVS...or you can find it at Walgreens if you have of those nearby or even Walmart...I paid $5 for it...I normally don't see any high mg's for sale, just the low dosages. Now one kind of GB I would like to try next time is the time-release ones...supposed to lasts like 12hours in the body. They're about the same price.

Whitney,

I may try to quit smoking soon...I will let you know...lord knows it would be nice to kick this nasty habit and get rid of the ball and chain dragging me and my health down. I've only been a smoker for a little over 4 yrs now, but feel like I've been doing it a lot longer than that. I just had to wait til I was almost 30 to start...stupid mistake. My husband is a smoker and when we use to go out socially, I would just do it for social reasons and he would make fun of me saying I didn't know how to inhale...then he showed me how, me being stupid not realizing the addiction I was then starting, cause before I did it plenty of times without inhaling it and never once had a craving the next day. We live and learn don't we? Smile I may try to quit as a new year's resolution and try the liquid stuff on natureday's site to help with quitting and cravings. I'll let you know if I do take the challenge...may even pick my book up again and read it...'easy way to stop smoking' Smile Good luck to you!!!!

Oh, also to Michelle: If you get the cayenne, I think I read you shouldn't take it on an empty stomach because they are so spicy they could aggravate. Well, I don't smoke, so thats not the issue, but best of luck to you guys who are trying to quit. and after reading Alcests comment on the cayenne and the stomach irritation I am not going to try that. I get reflux from so many things that I am not going to play with potential fire!!!

I've decided to start with one tablet a day of the gb, and then go from there. I would really like to just increase my blood circulation and see if that gets my smaller "girl" to grow a little more.

There is so much information here that sometimes my head spins and I am eager to jump on whatever band wagon. Its hard to wait patiently and let whatever I am trying now to work, when so many others are reporting nice amounts of growth ..........sigh........

I do think though circulation is important so I am going to give that a try.

@Mark - I take 120 mg of gink biloba per day. You should consider whether it's a full herb or an extract, cause extract doses are lower. I think mine is extract.
WU dose of GB is quite low.

Anyway, GB has made a really great difference for me in the first month or so, really it was like bang!- I got A LOT of growing pains when before I had none whatseoever and I wasn't cold anymore, when before I had to have three pairs of socks on. But then suddenly it like just stoped working. Sad I'm cold again and my growing pains went away. *cry* I have no idea why, did my body get used to the herbs and stop responding? :'(
