Anyone ever hear of small breasts being attributed to an imbalance of dhea

Hi Aerie,

Dhea is a precursor to both estrogen and progesterone. It could contribute to a lack of hormones which could contribute to small breasts. Most people produce adequate amounts of DHEA while they are young but the production tapers off after a certain age.

I don't know of any routines that use DHEA for NBE. It alone would not be enough to cause growth is my guess. Also, since it promotes testosterone as well as estrogen it might be the wrong thing for some women.

Best wishes,

I know two women who have taken DHEA and one said it increased her breast size and the other said it decreased her breast size.

DHEA

I've read that increasing the DHEA levels can help breast growth. I can post some links for the DHEA supplement. I also found a cream that claims to work for young girls that contains 1% DHEA and wild yam. A lot of places are scams though. If anyone is interested I'll post the links up. What do you guys know about DHEA? Thanks

Doesn't DHEA have something to do with androgen levels? If it does i can't see how it would help with breast increase. It would do exactly the opposite.

Hi Tiffany,
DHEA is another one of those substances derived in the lab from wild yam. You cannot make DHEA just from taking wild yam, so the cream you are thinking of may not do what it is saying it does. You need to see an ingredient list to determine if it is just wild yam or if there is DHEA plus wild yam in this.

As far as DHEA effect. It is produced by our adrenal glands and is the precursor to androgens and estrogens. That is what it will promote if you take it - both androgens and estrogens, so in other words your testosterone and estrogen will increase.

This is helpful if you are of an age (after age 30) where DHEA levels would naturally fall, or if you have some sort of adrenal insufficiency. But if your DHEA levels are normal, you may begin to experience unwanted side effects like acne and mood swings if you use DHEA.

Here is a great website that talks about DHEA and the appropriate dosage if you choose to use it:

http://www.raysahelian.com/dhea.html

He states that it should never be taken at rates over 5mg and should not be used for long periods of time.

Hope this is some help,

DHEA for NBE
February 17 2006 at 3:26 AM SugarQ (no login)
well, ive been lightly studying DHEA for NBE for a while. about a year ago i came across these DHEA creams that claim that boosting DHEA levels will help firm and enlarge breasts. which is some what true. Natural Androgens and Estrogens have been known to have anti-ageing and breast enhancing effect . which is why they are a great idea for older BEers looking for more of a lift and shaping possibly some size enhancement. these methods are probably would work better in older women because it would just be replenishing low level. DHEA and other hormonal supplimentations isnt a good option of younger women and my be detramental to their health. there are some increased risks with cancers then with herbs because these are real hormones but if you use it properly and in lowest effective amounts risks will drop dramatically. there are even some precausions and additional supplimentations that can firther reduce risks as well.(by the way if anyone is interested in some cancer risk reducing methods for general knowledge i can provide a like to a discussion that has alot of great tips, just let me know).all you got to do is google "DHEA breast size" and stuff should come up. supposedly there was research done that corrolates breast size and DHEA skin levels. thats different than taking the stuff orally but i dont know. i cant find any other info to back these claims up.

FOR NEWBEEs
you may ask whats DHEA?- its a precurser to testosterone and both DHEA and testosterone are precursers to estrogens(the main one for estradiol). you may

some may think that "testosterone is suppose to be bad for NBE"- but thats not completely true. yes, testosterone works again estrogens and instead of helping with fat storage it burns fat so its bad for NBE. if you have excess testosterone then my need to get that under control for NBE. but if you have low levels then that can be just as bad. testosterone levels parallel estrogen levels. so if yo got low testosterone then your estrogen levels may be lower then normal as well. which is bad for NBE. DHEA and testosterone supplimentation in men can cause breast enlargement. but in rare cases it does the same for women as well.

the moral of the story is you need to find the right balance of hormones for your body. the same dosages of herbs or the same kind of herbs wont work for everyone so you got to play a little to find the right mix for you. what may be right for one person to grow my stop growth in its tracks for another person.

Ive been looking into this as well recently! If any of u girls are "allergy" prone (seasonal, indoor, hives, eczema, asthma, ect),I would strongly recommend u look into the DHEA,its a "steroid" hormone and theres a chance that allergy prone people are low in this hormone as steroids fight "inflammation" type reactions. Im looking for a possible link between lack of this hormone causing lack of breast development in pueburty?? I dont know but I'll let u all know when I find out more:-)

yeah steph, the only link ive been able to find is the link with the hormone and breast size in older(mature) females. but a long time ago i read somewhere that young girls who suppliment with DHEA get larger breasts. i dont know if thats true, if the source is credable or even where i read this. but it would be interesting if you find anything relating to this. ive been trying to find the source or a source that talks about DHEA levels in adolecent females but i cant find any realating to breast enlargement. hopefully someone may chime in with something.

Anyways, for any young Newbees this is not an invitation to go off and experiment with this stuff. but for mature women who have saggyness, firmess and shape issues sex steroids are one option to use to help fix problems. for example for women who have breast problems after pregnacny it may be due to progesterone levels. after child birth progesterone and estrogen levels drop drastically to allow for child birth and Lactation. so progesterone may help with issues relating to pregancy incuding breast enhancement.

I do suspect that suppimenting with these sex steroids just before and during puberty may enhance breast enlargement as well. there are some stuff that suggests that its a huge possibility. but this info doest help women past puberty very much.
