Well whatever the bleeding/discharge was, it's stopped now

Well, if this was what happened, we know where you are on your current cycle, Katana! LOL! You may have JUST ovulated, which would mean you're typically about halfway.

HALLELUJAH!
My cycle has been a subject of much confusion for me for the last three years!

LOL. You'll still need to see a doctor to confirm that's what happened and not something else, which could even be undesirable. We don't know, yet. If you did just ovulate, you could have your period as soon as next week, or it could take as long or longer as it took to ovulate from your last period. And especially since you just had an overdue removal of a supposedly expired hormonal birth control implant, it's expected and normal for your next cycle after removal to possibly be a little longer OR shorter than usual. But since you say you've never been regular, you don't even have a normal to refer to... so... basically, your cycle is still a subject of much confusion for you. Sorry.

I'll go to the drop in clinic down the road and then head over to the GP to register and make an appointment to get stuff checked

Good girl. LOL. I hope for your sake it's not anything bad. Or you aren't pregnant if you don't want to be, which it sounds like you don't.
