Try honey cured or salt preserved meats
Yes, processed meat is HORRIBLE for you. So much sodium in it, too. I've just been eating it for now because it's cheap. But once I feel more stable financially, I'm going to switch to stuff that's better for me.
Well for what its worth they did a series about whats in our foods these days. And while they did claim processed meat more than 3 times a week ( from memory) can increase your cancer risk you can negate it somewhat by consuming it WITH raw veggies and i know you probly do that. I envy your food choices, processed meat gives me reactions now, il get real dizzy and short of breath when i eat any sausages etc. Crazy huh. I think when your body is in a state of shock or repair it tells you bythese reactions to keep away from them
Oh gosh, I hate raw veggies more than anything! I prefer them cooked. But that's really good info.
In a way, it's good that your body lets you know that what you're eating isn't good for you. I always think of people who can get away with eating bad things and what that has to be doing internally long-term. Still, super unpleasant for you! I can't imagine getting dizzy and short of breath purely from eating a sausage. Your body's been through it, Ella. I hope you're taking good care of yourself and getting proper rest and eating whatever healthy food you can tolerate.
Another little tidbit. Studies done proved mortality rate was better on people who ate cooked veggies. Crazy huh. By cooking (id say steaming now boiling the crap out of them) it softens them, mkes the body used less enzymes to break down the fibres. Better for you

Oh, I believe it! They found that processed tomato (tomato paste, pasta sauce, etc.) is actually better for you than raw tomato. And keep in mind that raw, cruciferous vegetables can mess up your thyroid. I remember reading someone saying "I don't think these things are meant to be eaten uncooked." As always, really good info, Ella. Thanks.

Thanks, missb. I'm glad my food lists inspire you.
I'll try to be confident with the boy. I'm lacking that so much right now. Not just with him, but in general in my new life. I saw him tonight, but he was surrounded by people and I didn't stand a chance. I hope something happens soon.
Sounds like you are seeing him more now. Even if you dont get a chance to talk to him, make sure you "catch his eye" and give him a "shy smile" and look down, he will definately cotton on that you have a shine for him.
Oh right, I forgot that I planned to do that! Thanks for reminding me. Hopefully I'll get the chance to do it this Friday.

My body is staying very toned-looking, even though I haven't been exercising. I definitely have a naturally athletic body. I should get involved in a sport of some kind.
I measured my waist today and discovered that it has gotten a bit smaller. This alarmed me somewhat, as I tend to lose or gain inches everywhere at once, not just in one particular spot. So I measured my hips and bum and sure enough, a bit smaller. I hope my breasts haven't gotten smaller, too.
Going to go grocery shopping today. I might start recording what I eat again, as I feel like it's helpful and makes me aware of what my diet is lacking.
Has anyone else really struggled with feeling just absolutely hideous? If so and you've managed to overcome that feeling and don't mind being out in public and letting people see you and have managed to get a significant other, how did you do it? I'm desperate for advice. I can't get past feeling monstrously ugly all the time. I'm so tired of feeling undesirable and uncomfortable in my own skin.

You and me for that matter have self limiting beliefs. Im too negative and scared all the time - doesnt help my health. For you i think YOU think you dont deserve love? Just growl at me if im wrong.
But if you have time watch this , i wont get a chance till tomorrow. All i know is when i watch these clips at the time i totally decide to change the way i think about myself ie i dont deserve my husband and daughter and i feel so much better - its getting it to stick thats the problem.

It makes me sad to think you don't think you deserve what you have. I'm negative and scared all the time, too. My mind is constantly jumping to terrible conclusions.
You're right, I don't think I deserve love. And I feel just really, really, really unattractive. Like, not just ugly; I feel like I give off a completely unsexy, pitiful aura. Like even if I were to have on perfect makeup, the most flattering outfit ever, and had my hair done in a way that framed my face just so, I'd still give off this incredibly pathetic, unattractive aura that repelled men. And on the rare occasion a guy shows interest in me, I feel embarrassed for him because he hasn't figured out that I'm disgusting and not worth paying attention to.
I thought I was getting better, but I can't shake it when I'm out in public. I feel ashamed to have people look at me.
I'm listening to that video while I cook and clean. Thanks so much for the link.

You really need to overcome your shyness and approach that (potential) boyfriend. Once you have established a relationship with a boyfriend I am sure that he will assure you that you are very desirable. He will be proud to be seen in public with you. Next time you see him be sure to establish eye contact and I strongly recommend that you go and talk to him, even if he is with other people. I fear that since you have seen him at least twice since moving, but not followed up with contact that he will take that as a message that you are not interested. He has already made it clear that he is interested in you, but if you continue to ignore him, he will give up on you.
