Hi there, I just took some pueraria mirifica for the first time last night and woke up itching? my shoulders and back were most itchy. just wondering if anyone else had experienced this or knows why this might be a problem. The pueraria i purchased was cheap online.

You might be allergic to it. Be careful as severe allergies can become fatal if not treated. Have some benadryl handy if you continue to keep using PM and you have the same reaction.

Fluctuating hormone levels can lead to itching. When I had out-of-control estrogen dominance, I was itchy all. of. the. time. It could just be the initial jolt to the system from introducing PM to your body, but if it continues, PM might not be the herb for you.
