Herbs Timing ??

#1

Maybe it doesn't matter that much, but I've seen conflicting advice on when is the best time to take herbs, so I wondered when people here take them. I assume most people take them around meal times, but would that mean before, during or after a meal?

I never regarded this as critical, but I took all my herbs either before a meal or sometimes during a meal (if I mixed them with food).

Some say that taking herbs on an empty stomach is preferable because they aren't competing with food for absorption. Others say that the body absorbs the herbs more effectively if they are digested together with food. So yes conflicting advice.

On an empty stomach seems to be the advice which is most commonly given.

Hi Guyz, just wondering if there is any specific timing for each herb ? Like Shatavari , SPE, PM , PC -- Can we take all together at any time of the day??

The usual idea is to split herbs into 3 amounts per day (or at least 2) rather than take everything in one go. Plus best practice is to take the herbs before meals.

There is HUGE conflicting advice/info out there about this, some say it's absolutely best to take herbs on an empty stomach as it absorbs better if capsules(so half an hour before eating or 2 hours after eating) and some say it's best to take them with food(especially if you have a sensitive stomach), really imo and from all the progress I've had over the years there is no difference at all sometimes I take them on an empty stomach and sometimes I'll take them with food/straight after Ive eaten, but keep in mind I use tinctures for some of my herbs which absorbs far better than capsules, herbalists say capsules absorb the medicinal benefits waaaaay less than tinctures as this states "Our bodies utilize about 98% of herbal extracts/tinctures but only about 50% of capsule and tablets. Tinctures are far more potent due to the large concentration of herbs in a smaller dose."
