How do I get the air out of the Noogleberry airlock cups?

#1

Hi,

I bought the Noogleberry breast pump with airlock, single tube, since I only pump my smaller breast (after having used a cheap one) and I feel really stupid asking this, but how on Earth do I get the air out of the cup again? My cheap pump had this little green thing sitting right where you connected the tube, which you could pull and it would release the air. Now with this Noogleberry cup I am at a loss. I couldn't find the answer to my question online, I can't believe I am the only one who can't figure it out. My boob is trapped in the dome lol

My old noogleberry hand pump had a button on the side that releases the air. There are probably videos on youtube as well.

Thank you for your reply. So I would have to attach the pump again to get the air out? That would suck in an "emergency" aka someone knocking on my door and me having to take the dome of as quickly as possible lol.
I watched Manika-Nia's video on youtube, but she didn't show how to release the air. I couldn't find another video

No. I think there was a misunderstanding. The pump can release pressure only if you’re not using airlocks. You’re right that you have to release the airlocks themselves. I don’t actually know how to use the noogleberry airlocks though. Their customer service used to be pretty responsive. Hopefully they still are. Try sending them a message about it. In the meantime, leaning as far forward as you can and wiggling will usually break the seal pretty quickly, even when you don’t want it to be broken.

Edit: Welp. Nevermind. I see I was wrong. Sorry. I guess airlocks don’t all work like the random ones I bought off Amazon and stopped using.

I've got a Noogleberry and there is a release button on the side of the pump that allows you to release the pressure.  Otherwise, you can use your finger to underneath the domes to release it that way if your in a hurry.

I ordered my noogleberry with airlocks and this is what they look like when the tubing is disconnected after you pull a vacuum. I don’t think there is a way to release then short of clipping the tubes back in and using the relief valve on the pump. if anyone finds out, I’m interested too.

i think like others have said you have to reach a finger under carefully and release vac that way of you are in a hurry.

Thank you all for your replies <3

So I guess I will have to either attach the hand pump or try to get the air out with my finger if I am in a hurry.

Does anyone else find that the air sometimes escapes after disconnecting the hand pump?  It comes right out the valve
