My favorite cream for quality and price can be found on amazon for about $13.50 a tube.

I have one made by Life-Flo and one made by Emerita. Each of them costs less than $30 for 4oz on iHerb. I have also seen them at Sprouts and my co-op but they are more expensive there.

Thank you both for your answers! When I look into the sites it looks like US sites? Is that correct? I have to order from within Europe, otherwise I have to pay double in tax, delays with customs etc. But thanks again!

hey guys,

I just found that one, but i'm not sure where it can ship to. Its 4ozs seems like a really good deal since its only 25 bucks.

can this be mixed with PM pills? it contains wild yam.

While alot of girls do use wild yam as their progesterone supplement, it technically is not really progesterone yet.

Explaination from Dr. Lee
"The USP progesterone used for hormone replacement comes from plant fats and oils, usually a substance called diosgenin which is extracted from a very specific type of wild yam that grows in Mexico, or from soybeans. In the laboratory diosgenin is chemically synthesized into real human progesterone. The other human steroid hormones, including estrogen, testosterone, progesterone and the cortisones are also nearly always synthesized from diosgenin.

Some companies are trying to sell diosgenin, which they label "wild yam extract" as a medicine or supplement, claiming that the body will then convert it into hormones as needed. While we know this can be done in the laboratory, there is no evidence that this conversion takes place in the human body."

It's best just to go with one of the true biodentical progesterone creams from Dr. Lee's list in his books, because they have all been tested and are the right mix and amount, so you know how much you are using.

Hi Mel,

What dr. Lee writes is true, but the words are very well chosen to protect his commercial interests. The use of diosgenin (WY, FG) to increase progesterone goes back to publications like the one I linked here:
http://www.breastnexus.com/showthread.php?tid=8419&pid=36418&highlight=diosgenin#pid36418

There has been recent activity to check how exactly progesterone is increased:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles...figure/F1/
The figure confirms the 2003 observation: diosgenin increases progesterone in ovariectomized rats. The figure is from this article, published July 13th of this year:

I got my progesterone cream from
http://www.progesterone.co.uk/?gclid=CK7...fAodcz9iOw
They are based in the Channel Islands, but the product itself is actually from a US manufacturer. It took about three days to arrive.

I got that because it is what my wife used to use for part of her HRT programme and if it's good enough for her...!
