Question

Notsobusty, thank you so much!!!

Alright, so I've just spent hours on here (when I should have been doing homework) trying to figure all this out, and have especially been studying idreamofD's program.

So about PM and BC
Since I am on Nuvaring, I technically don't ovulate. I do remove it after every 3 weeks though, and get a week of withdrawal bleeding. Now, if I don't ovulate, that means I don't have hormone spikes and drops. However, while I've been on UB, my breasts have been inflating and deflating, meaning that hormones definitely have played a role. But can my hormones spike and drop, while I still don't ovulate? Also, I've noticed that while on UB, my bleeding has been a little irregular (early heavy spotting once, and late a few days another time). Normally, the removal of the ring should signal to your body that it should shed it's uterine lining. When I got my period last time, it came on the day I was supposed to take the nuvaring out (before I had actually taken it out), meaning I had not yet signaled to my body to shed it's lining. So I'm wondering if UB was messing with my nuvaring?

Anyways, this next cycle (that starts in a few days), I will try to take back-to-back nuvarings, and continuously take PM for about 3 months, when I take out my ring for a few days and stop PM for that time, then continue like the first three months.

From what I've been reading however, this means that I could potentially continue to remove my ring after every 3 weeks for a week of bleeding, but still continue my PM while bleeding. Or I could even stop my PM for that week to do a detox.

This is so confusing!
Tomorrow I have an appointment to get a pelvic exam and pap-smear etc, so I will ask the doctor about nuvaring and skipping periods etc.

I thought I'd add a link to Alicia's program page, where we've been discussing yoga benefits for NBE. short version: poses such as sarvangasana, with feet elevated have shown to be beneficial for lowering cortisol levels (stress hormone), as well as increasing blood flow to the upper body (read: breasts) and stimulating thyroid. Lower stress levels = good for growing boobs.

So the doctor confirmed that I don't ovulate while on Nuvaring. I never knew that, before I saw mentions of it on this board! I guess I was never interested in how it works. Anywho, She also confirmed that it's perfectly fine to use the nuvarings back to back with no breaks for however long I want to.

So my new program, starting in a couple days looks like this: (based off of MydreamisD's program)

- Nuvaring continuously - no cycling.
- PM continuously - slowly ramping up to ideal dosage for my body
(phyto-estrogen & anti-androgen)
- Goats rue (prolactin & cleanses liver. Not sure if goats rue is helpful along with PM?)
- Dandelion root (phyto-estrogen & cleanses liver) 1200mg according to directions on bottle.
- MSM
- L-arginine
- Multi-vitamin
- Ginkgo Biloba (increase circulation etc)
- Cranberry (Urinary health. unrelated to NBE)
- Yoga daily
- Some massage (though I'm a bit lazy with that).
- Heat pads
- Some belly dance
- Vegetarian high-protein diet

I might add an anti-androgen if I need.
Also, I will keep an eye out for estrogen-dominance symptoms. In that case, I do have PC cream that I can use if I need.

Oh and the doctor said that I have a good height/weight ration going on! Then she said "you must eat really healthy and work out alot!" Then I said that actually, I've been working on gaining those 5 pounds for 2 years!!! That's the first time a doctor has said this too me. Big Grin Usually it's the whole "you're a little underweight sweetheart, you should eat more"-spiel.

I will measure again next week sometime.
I'm thankful for any suggestions or questions, and Happy growing!

Edit:
I also just wanted to note that i definitely should not cycle with estrogen one half the cycle, and progesterone the other half, because Nuvaring keeps your hormones at an even level, while if I cycled, I would be inducing ovulation etc which i don't want.

I wonder, did anyone else on BO experience it messing with their BC? I'm not sure if it was messing with my nuvaring, but I did start to bleed a bit irregularly while taking BO, which could potentially have been a real period, if BO causes spikes and drops in hormones.

I stopped UB 4 days ago by the way, and have not felt any major difference, except a little upset stomach. I have not been spotting now like I did last month, so that is good.

Alright, so after researching some more on the board, I have dropped the dandelion root, because the general consensus on here is that you don't want to mix other phyto-estrogenic herbs with PM, as it will "water down" the effects of the PM. Hopefully goats rue will do the trick with keeping my liver happy. I might try and find something else that will help with that.

For now I've started taking 250 mg of PM in the morning and the same at night. I'll do this for a week or so, then ramp up. I've also taken full dose of GR and my multivitamins, however the vitamins make my pee so yellow, I'm wondering if it's my body not needing all of it, or if I just don't absorb it all? This has happened with all the multi-vits I've taken. I'm not even taking the recommended full dosage of this one. I have not started the MSM and L-arg yet, just because I don't want to overload my body with so much the first days.

I told my fiance about my NBE program today. I have kept it secret before because 1. I was afraid he would be too eager about it, and not say that my boobs are perfect the way they are. 2. I was afraid he would stop me from doing it because of worries about health (he's a science-type). Turns out he didn't say anything about my boobs being great the way they are, but I wasn't as bothered by it as I thought I would be. Such is life. And he didn't try to stop me at all. Seems like he was suspecting I was doing something like this, with all the pill-popping I've been doing lately Tongue At first he even kind of ignored me when I said it, or as if it didn't surprise him at all. Anywho, good to know that he knows and now I can be more public about it with him. And good that he lets me do what I want with my body, for whatever reasons Big Grin

Now, for my booby-sleep Big Grin (I love how people on this board combine various words for boobs with other words. I'm such a word-nerd Tongue )

So this is my 7th day on PM and GR and so far this is what I noticed:
  • On 3rd day of PM I was cold-sweating all day, and broke out, but it disappeared the day after
  • Have noticed a significant increase in lubrication (if you know what I mean) I think I somebody else used the word "waterfall" and that might be the best word to describe it
  • My hair is looking so much better already. It's much bouncier and I don't have to wash it as often
  • I laughed so hard I cried twice this week (which I haven't done in many months) I guess now I see why teens are so giggly? (hormone levels?)
  • My skin does seem a little improved. It's hard to say though, because I have a lot of issues with my skin that supposedly is from skin-allergies. But also on my legs and some on my arms, I have red bumps that my doctor said is from a dry skin condition, and that has cleared up some the past couple of days. I'm hoping it's the PM, and that it will help improve all my skin, but will try not to get my hopes up too high.
  • A general improvement in mood over the past few days, but with a little bit of moodiness

Other than that I've had some spotting for two days, but that's probably just my body getting used to the continuous nuvaring.

So far so good!

I've been thinking about getting noogleberry since now I wouldn't have to hide it from my fiance, but I'm still on the fence there because it seems like a lot of work. We'll see..

Happy boobie-growing!!!

I caved and ordered a Noogleberry!! Big Grin I am sooooo excited to get it, but unfortunately, when they get here I'll only have a couple days to use it when I get a guest over for a week, so I'll have to noogle in secret for that week Dodgy BUT I have such a good feeling about the noogleberry.

It's weird but I feel like my breasts have gotten smaller since I started PM and GR, they certainly look smaller, and my left boob (the smallest) feels a lot smaller, as if the difference between the left and right is even bigger now. Even my right nipple looks bigger than my left nipple. I'm worried that my left won't be growing and responding like my right Sad But I feel like I can fix that with the noogleberry when that comes. For now i have to be patient. I did measure today just in case, and my breasts seem to be the size, if not a little bigger, as last time I measured. So this is all very confusing. I guess I have to be patient for a few more weeks to see what's going on.
They definitely feel different though.

I upped my PM dosage a few days ago, so I'm taking the full 500mg twice a day. So far so good and no ill side effects.

OK, that's it for now. Good luck everyone
