So the doctor confirmed that I don't ovulate while on Nuvaring. I never knew that, before I saw mentions of it on this board! I guess I was never interested in how it works. Anywho, She also confirmed that it's perfectly fine to use the nuvarings back to back with no breaks for however long I want to.
So my
new program, starting in a couple days looks like this: (based off of MydreamisD's program)
- Nuvaring continuously - no cycling.
- PM continuously - slowly ramping up to ideal dosage for my body
(phyto-estrogen & anti-androgen)
- Goats rue
(prolactin & cleanses liver. Not sure if goats rue is helpful along with PM?)
- Dandelion root
(phyto-estrogen & cleanses liver) 1200mg according to directions on bottle.
- MSM
- L-arginine
- Multi-vitamin
- Ginkgo Biloba
(increase circulation etc)
- Cranberry
(Urinary health. unrelated to NBE)
- Yoga daily
- Some massage (though I'm a bit lazy with that).
- Heat pads
- Some belly dance
- Vegetarian high-protein diet
I might add an anti-androgen if I need.
Also, I will keep an eye out for estrogen-dominance symptoms. In that case, I do have PC cream that I can use if I need.
Oh and the doctor said that I have a good height/weight ration going on! Then she said "you must eat really healthy and work out alot!" Then I said that actually, I've been working on gaining those 5 pounds for 2 years!!! That's the first time a doctor has said this too me.
Usually it's the whole "you're a little underweight sweetheart, you should eat more"-spiel.
I will measure again next week sometime.
I'm thankful for any suggestions or questions, and Happy growing!
Edit:
I also just wanted to note that i definitely should not cycle with estrogen one half the cycle, and progesterone the other half, because Nuvaring keeps your hormones at an even level, while if I cycled, I would be inducing ovulation etc which i don't want.
I wonder, did anyone else on BO experience it messing with their BC? I'm not sure if it was messing with my nuvaring, but I did start to bleed a bit irregularly while taking BO, which could potentially have been a real period, if BO causes spikes and drops in hormones.
I stopped UB 4 days ago by the way, and have not felt any major difference, except a little upset stomach. I have not been spotting now like I did last month, so that is good.
