A question about hormone levels during breast development

#1

Hi All,

I just have a small question.

I've done quite a bit of reading regarding female puberty and hormone levels.

There's just one detail that I'm unsure of. The time period between the on set of puberty to the first menstruation cycle, basically the breast development time frame. Does progesterone stay at a steady low level, with only estrogen levels increasing? Or does progesterone also increase?

Currently this is how I understand it.

-Puberty Begins: Estrogen increases steadily within a 2 - 3 (depends on the individual) year span, Progesterone stays at a fairly steady low (Please correct this part if I'm wrong, thanks)

-Menstruation Begins Once Estrogen Level is High Enough: (28 days) Estrogen increases at around day 5 - 8. Progesterone increases at around the same time estrogen peaks then decreases at around day 13 - 16. Progesterone peaks then decreases at around day 19 - 22.

-Pregnancy: Estrogen and Progesterone both increase steadily to a much higher than usual level within a 9 month span.

I'm pretty clear on the hormonal patterns for during the menstrual cycle and during pregnancy, But there seems to be little mention of what happens during the breast development time frame. Or at least not in as much detail as the other two.

Seems like a minor detail but it's the difference between mimicking a simple breast development or a pregnancy.

Oh yes, I'm a male.

To be honest, I have quite a few conflicting thoughts in my mind in regards to growing breast. Well, I've always had a softer chest from having some extra fat for most of my younger years until the recent past few years when I became more physically active. Which really had cut down on my fat and my chest became pretty muscularly-flat.

But for some reason I had missed having a softer chest even though I was quite ashamed of them.

And now they are back because I purposely gained some weight. I also took some pills and creams about a month ago. (red clover, DIM, estrogen cream, progesterone cream) My chest was getting pretty, well, I would say fuller than usual. But I didn't feel that well after a while. I think I used too high of a dosage, especially the with creams.

I'm currently using pueraria mirifica, for its other benefits. Only a small dose for now (10 mg/day), but it still seems to have some effect on my skin and such. Or it could be looking with wishful eyes.

I don't know... one side of me (the feminine side) wants to finally embrace my breasts as a part of me. But the other side of me knows that it would make certain aspects of my life in society a bit more difficult. Like public washrooms, beaches, people in my life, future people in my life, etc... I guess the thing that worries me the most is finding an accepting wife. It seems the we've made so many advances in technology and such, but when it comes people to people relationships, acceptance, and understanding. There seems to be a lot that has yet to be improved.

Sorry for kind of going off the question. It is my first post, so might as well speak my mind a little bit, I guess.

Thanks

Welcome to Breastnexus!Smile

Breasts begin to bud as soon as the ovaries begin producing estrogen. The length of tinme between the onset of breast development and the first period varies greatly on an individual basis; there is no stage of breast development constant with the first menstrual period.
Yes, you got it right, progesterone is low and level during early breast development and does NOT play an active role in breast development at that time. Progesterone is not involved until estrogen has led to the development of a duct system within the breasts. Progesterone develops the lobules and alveoli of the existing duct system, maturing the breast.
So, estrogen to start, progesterone and prolactin to finish.

It's obvious that coming to grips with how you identify with your body is causing you alot of anguish. I cannot fully comprehend it, being a female, but it sounds like a lost and lonely place to be in mentally.
There are alot of bio males on these boards, and the community as a whole is very supportive. There is even a forum dedicated to breast growth in bio males.

You'll find alot of wisdom there, from people, male and female identified, who've been through what you're going through now.
Good luck with whatever path you take!

Thanks,

Fortunately for me, my case is not where I feel like I was born a female. So I'm not too torn up mentally about my body. Although sometimes I wish I was a female.

I think it's more like admiration with some envy (wish that I can be like that) of the female body.

(under usual circumstances)
-the flawless skin
-less body hair
-and just the overall eye pleasing shape
-also (sometimes) the angel like voice

But also some of the other experiences that a women goes through is just plain special.

-Pregnancy (Except for the throwing up and such, you get to feel a new life growing within you as your body nourish it. Men just plant the seed and sit around for 9 months... and then panic for a few hours... and maybe faint in the process)
-Child Birth (Except for the pain)
-Breastfeeding (I think a lot of modern dad's would love to be able to do or at least experience this, instead of using a bottle which takes away that extra closeness with their child)

... yeah... missing out on a lot as a guy. And then when it comes to fashion...shoes...colors...shoes. There's no way to compare.

The only thing that makes being a woman not so nice is the way that women are often treated, and really, that hasn't really changed all that much, if at all in a lot places. But that's a whole other topic.

Anyways, for my breast growing, I'll take it slowly. I think they are currently between AA and A but don't really look like female breast unless I push them together with my hands, but it might just be the extra body fat. I might lose them once I slim down. Lucky for me I'm not overly masculine looking.

-For those who are reading, remember, I'm not a medical professional-

My full program (once I start it) would simply be mimicking the estrogen levels pattern during breast development of a genetic female for a period of about 2 years or until I'm happy using pueraria mirifica extract or powder (but I guess other herbs/creams can be use instead). Dosage will be within or maybe higher then the recommended by the end of the 2 year period.

Now from what I recently read, but like I mentioned in my first post, I haven't really found much detailed information about this "specific" puberty stage. But from what I read and the way I understand it is that once puberty begins for a female, the menstrual "cycle pattern" begins also. But since the uterus has not fully developed yet and estrogen level is not high enough yet, progesterone will not increase like in the usual menstrual cycle.

So when I mentioned in my first post that:

"Puberty Begins: Estrogen increases steadily within a 2 - 3 (depends on the individual) year span, Progesterone stays at a fairly steady low"

In actuality in those 2 - 3 years, the estrogen is not increasing in a straight line as one would think from reading that. But instead the estrogen is increasing in cycles and in each new cycle the level peaks higher than the last. Until the uterus has fully developed and able to start ovulating and the body is happy with the estrogen level. And that's when progesterone starts playing its part.

--- If any of the above is wrong, please say something. If I'm wrong, I'd want to know too! Thanks all ---

So according to the above (assuming that it's correct) I would do:

(dosage values are for example only)

Month 1
week 1 - 10 mg
week 2 - 20 mg
week 3 - 15 mg
week 4 - week off

Month 2
week 1 - 15 mg
week 2 - 25 mg
week 3 - 20 mg
week 4 - week off

Month 3
week 1 - 20 mg
week 2 - 30 mg
week 3 - 25 mg
week 4 - week off

In the above example I will be taking 135 mg by the end of the 2 years.

Not sure what to do with the progesterone cream, I might use a tiny dab through out the 2 years, or just a tiny dab during the 3rd week of the month.

I guess that's basically it for now. 2 - 3 years seem like a long time but it's more true to the actual growth duration and it would avoid stretch marks.

Oh well, we'll see.

I just bought quite a bunch of pueraria mirifica, so I guess I have to use it up some how. Hopefully it will keep its word on all the other benefits too.
