Embarrasing side effect with PM

#1
Question

About a year ago I took Solgar Pueraria mirifica ,and I had a rather embarrassing side effect from it . I'm not sure if it was the Pm or something else ? I don't know if this has happend to anyone else , but when I was on the PM for two weeks ; I started to develope pain and swelling in the clitoral area ,and this has continued on and off for a year . I stoped taking solgar PM right away , but I am worried because I would like to try Ainterol PM but I am afraid it would make my symptoms worse . Has this happed to anyone else Huh

Ummmmmm, no. I took a low dose, 100 mg, for about a month. Then got Ainterol, and have took it 4 mos, with positively nothing like that.

But, someone I know noticed a small lump in that region, and she searched online and found out there is some sort of gland down there that can become clogged, causing a lump. She said her's is sometimes bigger than other times and also sometimes does feel sore. She said she read that it shouldn't be cause for alarm or checked by Dr. unless it because very swollen and sore and remained that way for some time. On the other hand, I met a woman through work (it's amazing the things that women tell their nail tech, lol!) who said that she found a lump down there and it was a malignant tumor that had to be removed and caused all sorts of problems!

Like you said, it would be embarrassing, but if it were me, I'd see a Dr., just to be sure! Don't rely on google for everything!

Ok, well I googled it, of course, like I said you shouldn't do, lol. Found some interesting stuff I didn't know, and we all know, "knowledge is power!"

Anyway, here's a link for wiki. I searched for "hormones causing swollen clitoris". By the way, what else, if anything, were you taking? I guess it can happen.....

Thank you . It is embarissing to talk about . I have seen an endocrinologist and got a blood test , but everything came back normal . The only other stuff I have been taking are two Antidepressants and the birth control pill .

There is no reason to feel embarrassed. If someone would ever make you feel embarrassed about such serious issues that just shows their lack of knowledge and respect. The female body is TOO complicated. We have 2 "X" chromosomes. The X chromosomes are packed with millions of traits more than the Y. Men have XY chromosomes and women have XX. It is of no surprise to hear so many problems from the female body.
I have not experienced anything like that either. I have been on Siriporn PM for 4 months and nothing on that.

Hi Egypt,

Solgar PM Phytogen Complex contains only a small amount of PM, but 16,667 % of the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) of vitamin B12 (1,000 µg).

That dose has been tested for 5 years without adverse effects:

but it's still a lot.

So it's possible that pure PM is less embarrassing.
