In my time on a few different body enhancement forums, I've seen my share of fake results, fake product reviews and everything in-between. Sometimes people do this to sell a product, sometimes to boost their ego, and sometimes there are just other personal reasons for doing these things. That being said, it's important to realize that these things are out there, and you need to keep an open mind when you're on the internet to make sure you keep realistic goals in mind.
"Natural" results may not mean natural as you know it
One thing a lot of people don't realize is that people will claim that their breast and butt/hip enhancement is "natural", even if they've had fat transfer surgery. They reason this by saying it IS their own body fat that is used, and they have not been implanted with foreign objects, and therefore it is natural. Many times they won't even admit that their results are from fat transfer, and just stick with the term "natural". Many of us here are attempting to get results by even more natural means, and might not actually consider this type of enhancement to be "natural" (I sure don't). So, just because you see someone's "natural breast enhancements", or even a "natural booty", realize that it may not be natural in the way that you know the term.
Beware of Photoshopped idols
Now, I know a lot of us here spend a lot of time on the internet, looking at breast pictures and trying to imagine what it will be like to one day have breasts so perfect. The same goes for any other type of body enhancement, including corsetting and muscle toning. Besides the fact that every body is different, so there of course is almost no way for you to naturally obtain the same exact body as your idol, is the simple fact that many of these pictures on the internet are indeed Photoshopped to take out imperfections. Yes, the internet certainly is a confidence killer, and that's why it's so important to remind ourselves that just because we see it doesn't mean it's 100% real.
Sometimes, it will be the exact same image that gets Photoshopped, in which case it's incredibly easy to spot. Other times, the real image may be harder to find, or it may be close to impossible to spot the "tells" at all (such as distorted background images, unnatural areas of skin or fuzziness where the body outline meets the background or clothing). This is why you should never, ever, EVER lust after a body you see on the internet, a magazine or even tv. Despite what you may see in these images, they all have acne, cellulite, dark circles, everything. They're all human, just like you and me.
Makeup, camera angles, posing and deceitful clothing: they're all lies
Yes, all of the above can be used to give the appearance of a better body. Let's start with the ever infamous push-up bra. I'm sure this is one that has made us all lust after a certain breast size or shape at one point in time. They push the breasts up, so you may not be able to tell whether the woman actually has saggy or deflated breasts. They also push the breasts forward to create cleavage, even when it may not naturally exist (I'm a 32DD and still don't have cleavage). They commonly add one or two cup sizes even, and can make a petite A-cup woman look pretty well-endowed. They seem to be growing in popularity, making it even harder for us to tell what a woman's actual breast size is.
Makeup is another common enhancement technique. Using a skintone slightly darker than your own, you can apply makeup around the bust to give the illusion of extra cleavage. You can also apply lighter makeup to the breasts to give them a bright sheen and make them stand out even more from the dark contrast of the cleavage.
Camera angles can also give the illusion of growth or a different size, just as standing in a slightly different position can as well (for example, leaning slightly on one hip can make your butt protrude more and look larger). That's why it's so important to take pictures from as close to the same angle during your progress. I've seen so many people posting "progress" that likely was not that at all, because they refuse to keep any consistency. Breasts that are held or pushed together in a picture will also of course look larger than they actually are. In the same way, if someone "sucks in" their stomach, their breasts and butt will look larger in comparison (this is also how so many "perfect stomachs" are out there).
Lastly, clothing. This is a big one. This is what makes breasts look bigger, stomachs look smaller and butts that look fuller. A loosely draped shirt can not only make you look thinner at times, but can also showcase a bustier bust. A common technique used for hip hop model photoshoots to make a butt look bigger is the way the bathing suit bottoms/underwear is placed on the body. A lot of times, they will shape the bottoms so that they curve around the butt, not only making it look larger, but perkier and fuller as well. They will also usually chose something that rides up higher on the butt, possibly up to the lower back, to give the illusion of an even "taller" butt. Also, a high panty will make the hips look larger, especially if the string is smaller. If most of it can be shown and just the right parts are hidden, you'll be looking at a pretty average girl who just so happens to look bombshell curvy.
Also, don't forget, sometimes they use tape to hold things up or push them forward. You won't see it, and everything will just look so young and ideal. There is even everyday use tape they sell to pull back your arm fat to make you look toned! Nothing is sacred.
Every BODY is different
This is a big part of everything. Just because we see someone with a 40" butt or 32DD's that just look so good, doesn't mean we'll actually look so good once we hit that size. Generally, a taller person will look slimmer, and a shorter person will look curvier. A long torso can even make you look skinnier. A smaller waist will make someone look a lot curvier, even if they don't have large hips or breasts, while an even slightly wider waist will take away from the curves. Large shoulders will make someone's hips look smaller. Long hair will slim a face, and long legs will slim an entire body.
So don't get your hopes up if you hit what you thought was your goal and it doesn't look the same to you. Because it won't. Everyone's individual shape, size, bone structure and muscle tone is going to make them look different at the same size. It's what individualizes us.
Last, but not least...
If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is
There are a lot of us who have seen at one point or another someone who we think MUST be lying about their size. Sure, the individual's body does play a big part in how things actually look, but there comes a point where you just have to trust your instinct and tell yourself that something isn't true. If you've ever seen someone without breasts who claims to be a 32C, or someone on the large side who claims to only be a size 7, then it's time to trust your gut. Not all of the incorrect measurements are outright lies (although sometimes they are); sometimes the person is just measuring wrong and truly thinks that is their size. Heck, I've mis-measured plenty of times, and can't be sure I'm getting an accurate measurement until I'm turning myself around a few times in front of a mirror. Also, if someone isn't keep progress photos, or not very accurately, that can sometimes be reason enough to question unbelievable results. And don't forget, some companies will use pictures of before and after breast implants to sell their products; these are usually the ones I steer clear of.
Keep all of these things in mind, and just learn to appreciate what you already have, rather than lusting after bodies and results you see in your everyday life. Even if you feel like your results are insignificant after a long time of trying, just remember that it IS progress, and you shouldn't be selling yourself short for your accomplishments.
