Looking for more experienced opinions

#1

Well lets introduce myself. I am
Age: 32
34-24-34, 120 lbs, 5'10"
Current bra size: 28E

In May I started using Natural Curves. My bra size then was only 28DD and on the smaller end of that, 33". The NC worked for me, a little too well. Two mos into use I had to cut back to 1 pill a day because of spotting. Fast forward, it still wasn't enough and I pushed myself into what I now know is E dominance. I'll admit I really didn't do much research beforehand and now I know, yes tsk tsk.

Previous to this I have had my hormone levels tested a few times always with pretty much the same results: low end of acceptable E, P tested right at minimum of acceptable, and normal to high T. I wish I could be more specific but I was never given the actual test result sheets from my dr. While my E & P were low, my cycles were regular and I can't do any kind of hormone pills so my dr. just let it go at that.

I have really enjoyed the extra cup and a half I gained from NC and don't want to lose it. In fact, I would like to gain another inch around my bust.

I have started buying herbs separately since it's apparent that I will have to watch my E levels lest I get to the point where I keep on spotting.

I have spent quite a bit reading but know that there are probably many resources that have missed my attention. However, I am starting now with this and would like opinions:

3000mg Fenugreek
1000mg Saw Palmetto
800mg Red Clover
Currently trying to find a Wild Yam extract locally to begin massaging with.

I guess I'm wondering if I'm just setting myself up again for disaster. So far I am on Day 9 of my cycle with tiny spotting but that's normal anyways till day 10 or 11. Will this work like the NC but without the spotting? Anything I should add or cycle? I keep reading and keep waffling. So confusing since everyone is different.

Oh and is there anything that can help firm my breasts? I've always had soft/squishy breasts even when I was a teen and would like them to be firmer.

Also, I currently take many supplements but haven't listed them due to this post already being very long. If you really want to know please ask.

Yes, please list all supplements and medications including BC.

Also list diet and exercise.

Do you have any children?

Do you have midcycle spotting normally?

Medications/Supplements:
Claritin, 10 mg
GNC Women's Ultra Mega 50 plus (no I'm not over 50 but this version has no iron and I like the extras in it better)
CoQ-10 50 mg/day
Copper, 2 mg/day (prevent depletion due to zinc supplementation)
Zinc, 100 mg/day (for immune support due to being susceptible to staph)
Potassium Gluconate, 99 mg/day (would be deficient w/o)
Magnesium Oxide, 500 mg/day (would be deficient w/o)
Cranberry Fruit, 500 mg/day (helps to prevent what used to be frequent UTIs)
Cinnamon, 1500 mg/day (for warmth)
Ginger Root, 1650 mg/day (for warmth)
Turmeric, 500 mg/day
Coromega Omega 3, 1 pkt/day
Oligofructose enriched Inulin (Prebiotin), 4 g/day
No BC, years ago tried many different kinds and always spotted on them or got headaches from them. I gave up and so did my drs.

Diet and exercise:
Diet is severely restricted due to being allergic to wheat; I cannot even eat food that has been processed on same equipment as wheat even if it doesn't have it in it. Wheat kills my immune system and causes many other systemic problems so my diet is mostly meats, certain cheeses and nuts with a few green leafy veggies. Once/month I indulge in a Starbucks Triple Venti Mocha w/whipped cream.
For exercise I do yoga 3x/week with a couple of good Dance Dance Revolution sessions per week.

No children.

Usually I don't have any mid-cycle spotting, just a couple of days before my period and afterwards. Cycle is usually 21-25 days, period lasts 6-7 days.

Hope this helps and TY! Smile

Urg after more reading I'm beginning to wonder if the RC would be too much. I thought because it was half and half it wouldn't be as bad but now... I also really liked it because most attribute an antibiotic/antimicrobial effect to it. Eek. :/

I don't know much about FG or RC... But... I'd suggest trying an extract of SP instead. 85-95% standardized you would probably only need 160-320mg. It'd be cheaper in the long run, and fewer and smaller pills to take.

As for Wild Yam... any particular reason you want to massage with that rather than essential oils? You realize there are absolutely no hormonal benefits to WY right?

Yeah! TY for the info on SP! This is the kinda stuff I've been trying to look for but for some reason it just seemed to elude me.

Wild Yam - Actually that is why I chose it. I'm too afraid to add more phyto oestrogens at the moment. I thought I read on here that topical application did cause some swelling/plumping? I could be mistaken. Since finding this site I will admit it's kinda been info overload. I coulda gotten things mixed up, or maybe it was just purely anecdotal?

AFAIK there's been nothing really proven for WY other than a few non-booby related things and the only thing that -MIGHT- explain the results are various studies showing that WY can boost fat generation... Not necessarily what we want, because if you discontinue WY or go on any kind of weight loss plan, you'll lose your WY gains. And your WY gains could just as easily go elsewhere as on your breasts... Though applied topically... Then we come to the question of absorption potential, and we still have to think about the potential for weight loss impacting the gains.

IMO... Wild Yam is just too... too much of a stab in the dark. It's been irrevocably proven to have absolutely no hormonal effects, the diosgenin MUST be processed in a lab to be turned into human hormones... And the lipids effect is much too uncontrolled and uncontrollable in my own opinion.

There are plenty of essential oils that are not hormonal but provide necessary nutrients to the breasts.

Okay. I can get that. I don't really need anymore fat in my breasts. I think the reason the tissue is so soft and squishy is because they are mostly fat anyways.

I'll start doing searches for EOs/massage. TY again! =D

A little update: Yay! no spotting! woohoo! and I realised I forgot a couple of supplements in my half awake after WoW daze last night.

1200 mg/day Calcium and
1000 mg/day L-Tyrosine

I think I finally got em all! X.X

TY everyone again for helping me to sort this all out.

...with one exception (since you are looking for more experienced opinions.) Wild Yam is not as useless as some of the newer forum members seem to think. It goes with fenugreek and saw palmetto. They work together. It would be good to dump the Red Clover. Sorry, I did not get a chance to get back here before now. It looks like interest in continuing is gone.

Gone? Have I missed something? I'm always interested for more info, so dump RC and go with WY? Do you think I'll have less of a problem with E overload with the WY? I figured RC would be better because it's said to be 50/50 but always looking for more info. I just don't want to end up spotting the whole time again like I was 2 cycles ago. FG, SP, and WY were in NC though that contained other herbs as well, but no RC sooo. AAAH!

Maybe I should just fry my brain and be done with it (my brain that is not the whole NBE thing! Wink ).

I've also thought that maybe I could just keep using the NC and add a PC in my luteal phase, but somehow I really don't think that would be a good idea. Like prescribing another med to fix the side effect of another. The idea just doesn't sit well with me.

ETA: Yanno, I've also been reading that ppl seem to have more success going the other way with using the RC as a topical. So maybe yeah!
