The Corset Training Thread

Awh :-( is it possible to get a decent one for around £40/£50?
Reply

I've been reading through the posts in this thread and the corset waist training idea seems pretty interesting... I would also like to have a proportionate, "hourglass" body. I'm currently 34-26-36, so I'm working on boosting my bust and butt, and slimming down my waist. I think a 23in waist size would be fine for me, but my hips are so narrow - they're only 33in. And as far as I know, I can't naturally widen my hips. -__-;

I would participate in this corset waist training stuff, but 1) I've never dabbled too much into wearing corsets, and 2) it seems like it takes a bit too much commitment than I can afford. I can't imagine wearing a corset for 20 hours daily, and the idea that if you stop (even after years of consistency), your results go away sounds a bit demotivating for me. :/

I checked out some of the corsets on Corset Story to get a better understanding of the prices. End result, I ordered a fashion corset dress with a tutu that looked pretty cute! :3 (Sorry the image is so huge, lol)

I just want to get a feel of the corset stuff before investing any time and money on it, y'know? Although having a corset shaped body seems rather lovely~ Big Grin

Not really that I've seen. TT and Corset-Story are both about the least expensive decently made corsets you're gunna find. Their prices generally start around $100, which is around £66 by the current exchange rate. As for British makers, I'm not the one to ask, I imagine TT and Corset-Story will ship to the UK, but that import costs will be... interesting.

I'm actually getting results from about 14-16 hours. My waist itself hasn't actually slimmed, but the under-pudge is getting fairly permanently moved up and down, away from the waist, leaving me a flatter tummy. Which is my biggest goal right now anyways. YMMV.

That corset dress looks to die for btw! I wish I had money for more corsets, including stuff like that...

I thought the dress was absolutely adorable<3 It was on sale for $39 ($49 total with S&H), so I thought it'd be a nice dress to have in my closet. I can find some occasions to wear it I'm sure~ xD

This corset stuff can be pretty expensive. x_x; The waist-slimming ones on Corset Story started at $90, which is worth the investment if it's a great, durable quality and you're able to wear it consistently. I was curious to buy a $15 one on eBay, but idk... After hearing about Doll's incident, I'd rather not waste money on something that will probably fall apart within 2 weeks, lol. It's not even worth $10 I imagine.

I'm glad to hear that you're making progress with wearing it for 14-16 hours. If the tummy fat can somehow be transferred towards the lower portion right above the hips, that would be great 'cause I think that would give the illusion of wider hips. It sounds like you're achieving results similar to that, where the fat is being shifted away from the tummy, which is awesome.

Now I'm really curious to try this! I'm just so worried about doing it for years and having my results fly by so quickly... ;__; The risk of that happening is making me more reluctant than anything else... I'll keep checking on everyone else's progress here and see how things are going. I'm definitely considering it! ;3

I think you should just be extra careful about the length. You may or may not need a custom made one. I'm 5'5" and I have a somewhat long torso, so I think a 10" underbust corset may fit just right. The 13" seems so long... It's probably better to wear with a long skirt/dress sorta thing.

Do any corset trainers/wearers have any suggestions regarding the length of the corset? I was trying to get info on measurements from Corset Story, but it wasn't specific enough for me...

I have a 26in waist and im only 5 ft 2. Id ideally like a 24in waist. Im wondering if it would even work for me though..

"Corsets-UK" is the same organization as "Corset-Story" (they are both MRRAY Ltd). I think this corset would be fine (I have the same one from Corset-Story... the "WT" stands for "waist-training") and it is specifically made for tight-lacing. Corset-Story (and Corset-UK, which are really the same) do have really good sales on at times.

The one I have is VERY well made and I have laced it so tight I get blisters on my hands! Good luck!
