NB little scared

#1

Hi all, have tried googling and checking here but confused and no wiser. When I started NB about six weeks ago I had like many of us one breast smaller than the other (the left). Now six weeks on without pumping individually but perservering with both, the left has caught up - good. However I am now lactating in that left breast, I don't think this can be good? I am 34, have had one pregnancy and am taking breast actives daily by 3 and fenugreek 620mg x 3 daily along with msm and basic multi vitamins. Has anyone any advise on if I need to stop something maybe even the NB for a bit? I can't really get my head around the relationship between prolactin, lactating and if it's good or bad for breast growth. Finally I don't think it's helpful that the nipple in the smaller breast is being more pulled than the larger in the cups but all attempts to protect it, tape it down comes undone with the sunction. Any advise would be so appreciated and apologies if I'm bordering on graphic/grossHuh

Sorry to hear that you're having these issues with lactating. Sad Unfortunately, it's pretty difficult to tape down the nipples - I've tried it myself before because I didn't want my nipples to become too enlarged as I was using the Noogleberry. I sorta gave up on that idea, lol.

Personally, I've never had issues with lactating, most likely because I've never been pregnant before. I think the combination of the hormones, the pumping, and previous pregnancy is making you experience the unwanted lactation. I believe there may be others on here who have been pregnant before and have used the Noogleberry and taken hormones, so hopefully they can answer your post soon!

As far as NBE goes, I wouldn't advise you to stop entirely, but I'm wondering which part of your program would be best to eliminate for the time being to see if the lactating stops. Either the Noogleberry or the Beast Actives/FG... Which method do you think is giving you the best results? You may want to keep that method and put the other one on hold for about a week just to see.

Sorry that I couldn't advise you more :/ Good luck to you!

I'm not sure what's in your breast actives, but fenugreek ups prolactin which can encourage lactating.

Thanks for your replies folks, I have a feeling I might be over pumping and may just need to go easier, is so frustrating cos getting great swelling but it doesn't last but I know this can be a long process so I guess I just need to be more patient, will also maybe stop the fenugreek for a bit

Hello,

I am looking into buying a Noogleberry. I am worried about the Lactating too!

I stopped breastfeeding 2 years ago. However, even after a full year of never touching my nipples (not even letting hubby play with them), I recently checked by gently squeezing the nipple, and a tiny amount of milk comes out!

I am shocked and disappointed. Does this mean i cannot use the Noogleberry? Will it make me produce milk ? (I only want to use a breast pump, without any other herbs or hormonal creams)

please, any advice would be appreciated!
