Why would you want to put a rancid product on your skin, especially knowing full well it woill be absorbed and has biological value. If you get any on your armpits, it can go straight into your lymph glands and immune system. I for one wouldnt ever injest or put on my skin anything rancid.. Injesting is probably less of a concern as you have the digestive tract to neutralize the from mouth, gastric system, liver and kidneys to detox the bad oil but skin application you pretty much only the skin barrier and then it goes into circulation.

Rancid is gone bad but if you buy small bottles and keep the lid tight on store them in a dark cool place you won't have this problem.
But this is why I like a good olive oil stays fresh for longer even kept on the shelf.
