Fenugreek + Saw Palmetto

#1
Rainbow

Hi all,

I am very new to this and after reading up a bit I decided to go for the Fenugreek which I am drinking as a tea (I boil the fenugreek seeds and then sieve it). I am also using 2 capsules of Saw Palmetto every day. I am 25 and a size 32a/b. Hoping to get to a full b maybe c but just going to see how it goes really. I am just wondering if anyone has had success with these herbs alone? I don't have much money at the moment and I find other people's NBE ingredients lists a bit overwhelming for me at this stage. Is there anything else people would reccomend. I've heard redclover could be useful?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Mhairi! Welcome to the forum Smile

I know you might not want to hear this, but it really doesn't matter if anyone has grown off of those two herbs alone. What matters is what YOUR body needs in order for your breasts to grow and, unless you already know what your body needs, you won't be able to know if this simple program will work for you. It SHOULD work for you if all your body needs is some extra prolactin and less testosterone, but again, do you know your hormone levels? We do not know what you need, so we cannot know if you will need fenugreek and/or saw palmetto, or anything else for that matter. It would be really difficult to recommend you to anything if we don't know what your hormone levels are.

Hi there,

Thank you for you warm welcome. I haven't had my hormone levels tested. I think it would work out pretty expensive over here to do that. My plan is really just to try the fenugreek and saw palmetto and see how things go as I'm not sure how my body will respond. Sorry to be so vague I'm just really confused on the best things to use and as newbie it is a bit overwhelming.

Thanks,

Mhairi

It is pretty expensive anywhere to get your hormone levels tested, honestly. It is not cheap for anyone. Those who do it do it because they know it is what is necessary to know what their body needs. If you don't know what your body needs and you jump in NBE, you are playing a gamble. You could get very lucky and gain, you could not see any change at all, or you could even see a decrease in breast size. These are all possible results of NBE and if you do not know with what you are dealing (your own hormones), then any of these are a possibility with anything that you take.

So, that is my advice. As far as what is the best to start out as a newbie? Sure, I can give you a bunch of non-hormonal recommendations which could possibly help you but should not work against you at any point. There are topical creams made of volufiline made by Isoscentuals and Eveline. You can also massage and/or use a device that works off of the principle of tissue expansion and increased circulation (Noogleberry, Bossom Beauty, Brava). Additionally, there is MSM which is non-hormonal and helps with NBE. All of these things I will recommend because your chances with these are that you may see an increase or no increase at all. There is no chance of a loss of breast size with these products as far as I am aware.

But I see you already have a plan which you are making based off of....? Assuming that you need to lower your testosterone and raise your prolactin levels, it seems? And you are wondering about Red Clover? That is supposed to raise Progesterone levels but I will not recommend anything because I do not know what your hormone levels are. If someone recommends something to you, it is because it worked for them because it met THEIR needs or someone else's needs. NBE works on an individual basis. I hope you can understand that. So, if you want to take the gamble, I would suggest that you make your question more specific like "I want to raise all of my hormone levels and drop my testosterone... recommendations?" Now that would be something that I could take a shot at answering. So asking "what are the best things to use as a newbie?" will get you my response in the paragraph above, with the non-hormonal methods. As a newbie who does not know their hormone levels, the BEST thing is to stay away from touching hormones....

hi tina, im in the same boat as orig poster, I too didn't get my hormones checked (not good I know) but that didn't even register with me until I joined this site and saw all the good reccomendations Smile -ive learnt soo much and would have gone a different route had I found this site and started trying NBE.
so that said the and your statement about taking the gamble are you able to suggest anything based on what your suggest of a post
"I want to raise all of my hormone levels and drop my testosterone... recommendations?"
any advise would be greatly appreciated. the programme I chose from "greenbush" seemed to assure good hormonal balance/health and breast enlargement in the process so I believed that and went with them assuming my hormones would be balanced either way (ive no know hormonal issues btw, regular periods always, no problems there) - that im aware of anyway.
Thanks so much tina, great to be able to advise or pearles of wisdom from people such as yourselves Smile

So now that you have seen all the good recommendations on this site, are you going to get your hormones checked, Ellacraig? Assuming that this was a good recommendation to which you were referring!

I mean, if one had a situation like mine where all the hormones were normal but had a high level of testosterone and you wanted to raise all your hormone levels a bit and drop your T a bit, I would recommend either of these two combos:

1) Bovine Ovary, Fenugreek, Chinese Skullcap and Spearmint
2) PM, PC, Fenugreek, Chinese Skullcap, and Spearmint

You could need more or less depending on how lower-than-high your prolactin, progesterone, and estrogen levels are and depending on how higher-than-low your testosterone levels are. You can take a look at my program to see how much I am taking a day, and consider my hormone levels on the first page of my thread, if you want to get an idea. I have just started this program, so of course I have no growth from it yet!

When you speak of Greenbush, are you taking the enhancement blend?

hi tina. based on your reply it seems theres a lot more to balanced hormones. my thoughts were if they are plain and simply "balanced" then your good to go and the rep at greenbush said the combo of these 3 herbs I the enhancement blend (yes that's what im taking) would infact balance my hormones and take care of excess estrogen.. Sad do I believe him? well not so much now based on what im reading and what you've said.

but yes tina because im halfway through my new enhancement blend kit and have had a regular to the day period since starting I would hope to assume these herbs haven't messed with my cycle.. yet! :s
once the two month period is up (at one month now) I will take a break and get the advise of of health professional re getting my hormones checked. but to be honest I might just do a big cleanse and rethink whether I want to take a herbal programme at all, now im more inclined to just noogle/massage/and take EPO. Seems less invasive and give it a few months to work - what do you think?
thanks tina

"Good to go" for what ... Good to go to throw one's hormones out of balance? See, we want to keep them in balance so if you are in balance and can afford a little boost in each and a little drop in Testosterone (meaning that they are not more than the average norm or, in the case of Testosterone, less than the average norm), then what I wrote above should be the simplest formulas to work for a person. But, if a person is dominant in one hormone and/or deficient in another hormone, that is where it gets more complicated. One might need to remove some "ingredients" from the lists above or take drastically larger amounts of one as opposed to the others. If you look at my hormones for example, they are all around the average norm so I am giving my Estrogen and Progesterone a boost with Bovine Ovary and giving my Prolactin a boost with Fenugreek, and I am dominant in (but do not have excessive amounts of) Testosterone so I am taking not a little, but certainly not a lot, of anti androgens. And the other list of options I just simply replaced the Bovine Ovary with PM and PC because they will raise the estrogenic and progesterone levels which the BO takes care of in a very different way. In NBE, you need to have the right balance of hormones, like a secret recipe, to encourage your breasts to grow again... NOT necessarily to have them equally balanced out.

And yeah as much as I hate to say it, those enhancement blend pills will not balance out excess Estrogen. Sad And yeah those pills shouldn't mess with your cycle at all because there is no phytoestrogen or progesterone herbs in the capsules. So, they are certainly safe. I honestly don't know much about EPO with breast Enhancement! It's worth a try! Let me know how it goes! Smile
