How I traveled with Brava

#1

I wanted to share my experience traveling by plane with Brava. I know prior to leaving I was very worried about 2 things. First was ruining the tacky rim of the dome, second was getting a bomb squad looking into my suitcase. Well, the rims are fine, but.... On my first airplane ride, I took the cardboard dome supports, packed them in the suitcase (padded with some clothes), placed the domes (separately in each of the cardboard supports) and the placed ziplocks full of underwear into each dome (to keep it from collapsing and to save space). I covered the tacky portion of the dome with a gallon sized ziplock.

This worked very well for keeping the domes safe, but I definitely got my suitcase searched by a very curious TSA agent, who was apparently very concerned about the panty shrapnel. Anywho, on the way back I was able to not get searched. Here is what I did. I cut 3 ziplocks into individual squares (by panel) with 6 squares total. I used 3 panels per dome to cover the tacky surface but so that I could still stack them. I stacked one in the other. Put a dress into the top one, and padded that with clothes in the suitcase. NO problem second time around.

Hi Manila,

Great sharing, it would help me for my travel next 2 months...Smile

I got my brava today, I bought the second hand system but the domes still very good condition. But when I tried them on, I don't know it is right or wrong and I really need your advise:

I used to pump with Noogleberry and the hand pump work very fast and I can pull maximum my breast tissue... so the breast looks very big under the domes while pumping... So when I tried with Brava, it's pull my breasts tissue very slowly, I even didn't feel the presure until 30minutes after the smartbox stop working... I feel my breast expanse a little bit inside the domes only... So is this normal or I did sth wrong? I followed the instruction correctly. Or the smartbox not working right? because the person who sold it to me was using it for 10mths already.

Thanks a lot for your help,
Have a good day,
Jen

Brava can be a little tricky, I think. I've never used it noogleberry, so I have no frame of reference. It's weird, I think my swelling depends on the ambient temperature somewhat. When I went traveling about a month ago, I was actually getting really great swelling on my trip, while wearing it about 8 to 9 hours a day. It was hot and humid. Now, I'm back up north and definitely not as great.

The way I get my smart box to cooperate is I wait for it to stop sucking out the air, then I slowly unscrew it (but still keep it pressed to the filter) just enough to break the seal, and then screw it back on again. I lean forward and squeeze the domes with my arms a little bit while it's working again and I think it gets more of the air out that way.... I can certainly feel the pressure, but my swelling (end of week 8) in the evening is still nothing to write home about. I'm still at about an inch... The best i can get after 20 hours of wear in cold weather (only done once) is about a full cup size.

We're all different, I suppose. I don't have kids and my boobs are tiny and very tight, no sagging at all. I'm guessing I'm a slow responder, it will probably work better for you.

Hi Malina,

It is nice to have your reply and sharing the experience

I have the brava system in hand now but I'm haven't using them due to the skin care kit, I'm waiting for the them to treat the skin and the domes cleanser to wash the domes.

However, in the skin care kit doesn't have any cream to support during the suction, but I read on brava instruction somewhere that "apply the protection Barrier Spray around the breast before puting the domes on..."

I have no idea what type of Spray they are mentioning. Do you have them or do you apply any other type of cream for the suction? I don't know how to stand with the suction without cream support for 10hours...Smile

Thanks a lot,
Jen

If you go on amazon and search for no sting skin prep. That's the wipes you use before you put on the domes. It helps with the seal in my experience. It comes in the Brava skin care kit too, but I think you can get what you need for roughly $50 on amazon. The only expensive part is the antiseptic dome cleaner and the skin prep. Otherwise, you can use Aveno skin lotion and just any old cleanser to wash your skin before application.

Hi Malina,

Yes I ordered the brava skin care kit on Ebay yesterday, they including No-sting skin wipes, I didn't have any idea what is this for?

So as you said, this No-sting skin wipes will be used before puting the domes on just like a cream to support the seal and the skin, right?
So after wash the skin, put the No-sting skin wipes, and do we have to wait it to dry (3-5 minutes) before put the domes on?

Do we use 1 No-sting wipe for both breasts before pumping?

Thanks a lot for sharing,
Best

So, I'm not sure if I'm doing it right, but it works for me. Each wipe is a sealed wet-one. Before I put the domes on I open a new package and use it to wipe all around where the dome will be attached. One wipe for both breasts. You have to wait at the very least 8 minutes. If I don't use the wipes, domes don't seal as well and I get much worse red marks in the morning. So you need those.

I'm curious how much did you pay for your kit? I know you can get the wipes for about $25 on amazon (shipping included), and I just got the antiseptic done cleaner for $31 with shipping.

Yes, I got the kit on Ebay: 4 products (Brava Dome cleanser, Body wash, body lotion for after treatment, and 1 box 50 of No-sting skin wipes) with the price of $59.99 on Ebay + $30 shipping cost

And I asked them to add 1 pack 12 filters ($35) + 1 more box of No-sting skin wipes ($35) including shipping all.

Can I know how much have you growth so far? (how many months have you been using the Brava?), I'm mother of 2 childs, breasfed but I'm a little bit skiny so I'm afraid I'm a slow responder as well...Smile
Are you taking any other supplement a long with Brava?

I started NBE 8 months now with PM, massage and then 2 months on Noogleberry but still have nothing gain...Smile I hope Brava will help me to gain 1 cup size...Smile

Thanks and have a nice day,
Jen

Well, I don't have much. I did go through my pictures when I started and I see some fullness towards the evening, but I'm so far from a cup size it's not even funny. I'm maybe an inch larger than I was originally. I've been at it for 8 and a half weeks, but I'm not expecting magic. My boobs are pretty tight and I've never breastfed or gained any significant amount of weight. I'm not skinny skinny though. I have a little bit of meat on my bones. I have no issue gaining weight (anywhere but my boobs, it would appear).

I started doing Eve M program (well the shortened version of it) 2 weeks ago. Fenugreek, Hops, Fennel I was taking flax seed oil as well, but I have to stop because I have just had surgery and they say flax seed oil can cause excessive bleeding.

Keep update your growth...Smile I will write you when I have any change...

Have a nice day,
Jen
