I have been loitering around this forum for a few years now, using breast pumps on and off with small growth.
I have decided to try fat transfer with my own preparation using noogleberry and bosom beauty. My Dr has done plenty of fat transfers but is unconvinced about prior expansion so I am going alone. I don't like brava as it is so expensive and you can not purchase in Australia unless from a rep which makes the cost over $3000
Looking to hearing from others who have had fat transfer
I haven't had fat transfer, but I've read a lot of research articles on it. I would highly consider a different surgeon as it does not sound like your doctor is up on the latest techniques and research. Tissue expansion prior increases fat survival to around 80% I believe. I'd have to look up the exact numbers. There has also been a lot of research on the importance of how the fat is removed and processed using liposuction. I wonder how up to date your physician is on those critical things if he is not up to date on tissue expansion. Just my thoughts. Best of luck!
those stats are for regular fat transfer. supposedly the stem cell fat transfer has not been shown to have much benefit. a great place to look up research is Pubmed:
unless you are part of a university you won't have access to full articles but you can at least read abstracts. this site searches reputable journals for scientific research. it is the main source for anyone doing research or writing a paper, etc.

I had read about the stem cell fat transfer a few years ago, at the time there was a clinic in Japan that had done the procedure on thousands of women and there was also a clinic in Germany I believe.
I had not looked into it further as it was too expensive!
My Dr is very familiar with stem cells and he has said that stem cells dont actually give a significantly better result with fat grating to the breast. I like this Dr as he is very sensible and down to earth.
He is presenting at a fat grafting summit in Sydney in August so I trust his expertise
FYI - according to Dr Bright's website he is not a plastic surgeon. He's a regular doctor that went to some cosmetic workshops. That makes him much less qualified than a plastic surgeon. I'd be careful with him. Best of luck whatever you decide!
She might let you use noogleberry or bosomb instead of brava. Please at least look at her website. I have a medical background and I'm telling you the truth - Dr Bright is not nearly as well trained, and this doctor was just the first one to come up on google!
