PM and the long time side effects

#1

On one hand I've heard so many good things about PM, it also is scientally proven that it enhances the breast size :-)
But on the other hand I've read about cancerous tumours. PM is working by splitting cells...
Have you girls had any side effects? Aren't you afraid of tumors and long time effects?
Because after I've undergone a hormon test, I'd really like to take it, but I would not like to end up with cancerous tumors...

Fenugreek, hops and asparagus fight cancer, and they increase breast growth.

Really?
Sounds nice, maybe its worth a try :-)
But is PM really causing cancer/ cancerous tumors?

fenugreek:
anticancer http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3153165/
tissue growth http://www.fugh-berman.com/files/Bust.pdf (here it labels fennel too)

asparagus:
breast tissue growth http://www.indianjmedsci.org/article.asp...last=Goyal (shatavari=asparagus racemosus) (common asparagus available at the grocery store=same genus, good substitute)
do a quick search for any asparagus' anticancer/antitumor properties

hops:

I don't know about pueraria m. But any herb that grows tissue and isn't anticancer/antitumor for that same tissue has a potential for also growing existing cancer cells, since both healthy and not healthy breast tissue have the same receptors. Such herb won't necessarily give you cancer, and its no more bad than what sugar does, it feeds tissue indiscriminately healthy or not. Anticancer herbs fight/prevent cancer while stimulating healthy tissue growth.

Thank you all for your responses.
Has anyone stopped pm for long time, so he could tell about long term side effects?
Does taking anti cancer herbs along with pm minimize the risk of cancer?

Quote:In human interventions, doses up to 50mg have been used in interventions with no significant reported side-effects[34][29] and doses in the range of 25-100mg in open-label studies lasting up to 6 months have failed to show any relevant toxic effects.[26][27]

Currently no significant side-effects associated with supplemental Pueraria Mirifica at the standard supplemental dosages

Source: http://examine.com/supplements/Pueraria+mirifica/

Quote:In an Ames test, it appears that Pueraria (Mirifica and Lobata) do not possess any direct mutagenic effects regardless of whether or not they are bioactivated via S9 (to mimic cellular metabolism), but both were slightly antimutagenic when mutations were induced by either benzo(a)pyrene or 2-(2-furyl)-3-(5-nitro-2-furyl)-acrylamide; lack of mutagenicitiy was seen with 300mg/kg oral ingestion in rats[62] although another study in male mice using higher doses of a water extract (600-800mg/kg, human equivalent dose of 96-128mg/kg) was able to induce a higher frequency of micronuclei formation, indicative of mutagenicity

In german: Das Ganze ist etwas schwer zu verstehen aber die Quelle ist auf jeden Fall vertrauenswürdig und unabhängig.

Danke Peggy, vor allem dass du es mir gleich auf Deutsch übersetzt hast Wink
Was sind denn niedrige Dosen? 500 mg?
