There's no need for anyone to post test messages. The only time messages don't appear in the forum immediately is if they are posted by someone who is not logged in, which is exactly the same as how things worked with the old forum, so in that respect nothing has changed. Messages posted when not logged in need to be approved before they appear in the forum, as before, but otherwise they will be visible immediately.
