Are we trying to overcome our genetics?

#1

I just wondered what the actual goal of NBE is, like is it to basically find a way of defying our genes, is that the idea?

No, not really. The genetics of breast size has been raised a few times in the forum just recently, but it's something which is easy to overplay. Yes breast size is hereditary to some extent, but it's only one of several factors which determine breast size. I personally don't think NBE should be regarded as a technique for overcoming your breast genes. It's far too simplistic a way of looking at it.

Yes genetics is only one piece of the puzzle. Since a woman's breast size can change during her lifetime it can't be all down to genetics. Hormone levels and fat distribution are big factors in breast size.

I think Genetics play some part but not all of it, for example you have so many women of all shapes and sizes in both your father's side and your mother's side so you could activate any of it Idk, for me my mum's side all have small boobs however the women in my dad's side all have quite large boobs and so I inherited that gene off them but needed that extra push to get there if that makes sense

Yes genetics play some part. Researchers have found 7 genetic markers linked to breast size, so we can definitely say that breast size is hereditary to some extent.

I came across a clinical study which concluded that based on their research breast size was 56% hereditary.

I found another clinical study relevant to this which stated that there is a huge correlation between breast size and BMI (which I feel shouldn't come as any surprise).

Yes you are right MadameBusty and I think this is something which is often misunderstood. It happens so much that women refer to other women in their family and their breast sizes, without realising that a woman’s breast genes can just as easily be inherited from her father. It's actually been scientifically established that genes which influence breast development can be passed down from both sides of the family.

That's me in a nutshell. I've always believed that low BMI was my primary issue.

It's surely possible to have great genes for breast growth and yet still not grow, because your hormones got messed up or something of that kind.
