Well chi massage is Chinese aswell. In fact acupressure is also a kind of chi massage. So not to be confused, I think they are both massages which are from China and are based on the idea of chi.

Regarding the acupressure massages, the traditional Chinese medicine theory for the pressure of such points on the body is that it follows the meridian system like acupuncture to achieve results by rebalancing yin, yang and chi. You can see that acupressure is a chi massage, even if techniques are different to other massages which can be described as chi massages. Actually chi massage is not an exact description.

I assume "chi massage" mentioned in the question refers to the chi rotation massages.

Yes it's true, saying chi massage is not a proper description of which massage technique you refer to.
