Hello, i went out and bought 70grams of gelatine powder (59p!! cheap) and plan on using 4g per day .I think i read somewhere possibly moon? that you mix the powder in hot water and pour it into your yogurt? i tried that but it went horribly wrong and went into a massive gooey lump which i then had to chew lol. Can i just sprinkle the powder straight into the yogurt without mixing with water first? or will that change the effects in some way?

hey there! i have read in many many different places that it can be taken in LOTS of different ways and it will not affect it... i read that 6 table spoons a day makes up more than half the protein u human should take, just mix it in with ur soups or juice anything really..... i also had the same question in mind though, do u need to mix it with a tiny bit of warm water first to "activate" it or how does that work . i thought this would help a little bit though, sorry for not compleatly answereing the question though..

Oh, maybe I forgot to mention that I drink warm yoghurt (yeah I'm weird like that lol). So first I add water to the powder and get solid jello in a few minutes, then I heat it and it goes liquid. Then I pour this into cold yohgurt and it goes gooey for me too, but then I just heat the whole thing more until it's liquid again.

I'm not sure, but I'm thinking it's possible that if you do not make jello first (by leting it soak in water) it may be harder to digest. If you pour the gelatin powder into any sort of liquid it will soak anyway, especially if it's warm. I find that doesn't happen if you pour the powder into cold yoghurt tho, it remains in these tiney grains, and if any ingested thing is not dissolved, enzymes have lesser acces to it - only on the surface. But I'm not sure that's really the case with gelatin once it gets to the stomach and gut. So basically to be sure it's best to make any kind of warm drink with jello cause this way it soaks and it's liquid and not gooey. For me it wasn't an issue cause I prefer it this way. If you don't like warm yoghurt I think if you poured the heated liquid jello into a yoghurt of room temperature while stirring it might not go gooey.

You can find gelatin in powder or sheets in just about any grocery store in the bakery section.

oh, warm yoghurt? that is strange! LOL.. but hey, to each their own, and i don't meen it in a bad way what so ever... but i guess ur right it makes more sence to me that way too. drinking it with the warm liquids. although, if u ingest it while solid, it will break down again in ur stomach, so it doesn't really matter how u take it, but i do also think it works better while drinking it with room temperature liquid, or yoghurt in ur case haha....
